…but Laura Bush said she was “…a quick study,” although that was right after she said Palin didn’t have enough foreign policy experience.

Nice try.
I like to hear her talk.
Almost as much as the sound of her sliding support when she does.

Your “concern” for the Democrats is duly noted, and dismissed. Obama has Republicans running scared for the first time in years, because he’s actually got a backbone and has called them on their lies. Nice try.

“because he’s actually got a backbone and has called them on their lies.”
He’s called them on their “lies” with lies of his own.
…oh that’s just great!

Check the “Fact-Check” on CNN’s coverage of the first debate. Obama delivered a few somewhat misleading comments; McCain distorted and lied over and over again.

Hey Stewzie,
While you were listening to the drug addict Limburger, this happened. A debate.
FAUX SNOOZ O-45 to M-39
CBS 66 to 42 of uncommitted voters
The CNN poll results are also clear:
Who did the best job tonight?
Barack: 51
McCain: 38
Who would better handle Iraq ?
Barack: 52
McCain: 47
Who would better handle the economy?
Barack: 58
McCain: 37

And the Ol’ indecisive wimp didn’t dare to look Sen Obama in the eye during the whole debate!!!

Alexus, I work with a guy just like McCain (unfortunately); same views, same mannerisms. It boils down to two things (as to why he never looked directly at Obama while speaking): Arrogance and Rage. If he were to look at him during the debate process, he simply would of blown his top and would have ended up looking like Mike Gravel during the Democratic primary debates.

Interesting theory, Late. Especially since we all know McCain has “anger issues,” as they say, going back to his undergraduate days, and there’s every reason to think he has PTSD. (I don’t blame him for the latter – I’d be surprised if he didn’t.)

Late, add inadequacy issues into the mix. Ex fighter-jocks tend to be reactive, even for pilots, survival depended on extreme focus and reflexes in combat. It tends not to translate well to civilian life, Jimmy Stewart being the obvious exception. There are usually a lot of control issues for pilots, too, and God knows things are spinning out of control for him right now. MM- I don’t think he was ever treated for the PTSD, and his family background with too much achievement to live up to didn’t help. One of the things he has in common with GWB, actually, not being good enough to follow in daddy’s footsteps. And being a low-achieving f*ckup as a kid.
