At least twice I’ve been to the movies (in the afternoon when prices were lower) and was the only one there. It probably cost more in electricity, even at business rates, to power the projector motor and lamp, not to mention air conditioning, and of course sub minimum wage for the teenage employees to press the start button and sell me my ticket, than the price of my ticket. No I didn’t buy popcorn, candy or soda.

Can we get a Johnny Depp movie where the makeup doesn’t do half the work?

Haven’t been to a movie in 7 years. Before that it was 3 or 4 years.

Most of the outright rubbish coming from Hollywood is not worth $10 or more, for 2 hours of my life that I will never get back.

Nevermind that you can wait 4 months and the movie is out on DVD, and you can rent if for a buck at the grocery store.

I haven’t been to the theaters in 27 years! You can get FREE DVD rentals @ your local libraries. I save loads of cash I can use for “trivial” things like food.

Haven’t seen the current flick, and don’t go to theaters because they turn the sound way too loud (and I wear hearing aids!!!) and it is painful.

As to Depp, I’ve liked his movies, cornball and all, they’re called HUMOR! On the serious side, Depp has offered to by some land and give it back to the Sioux, but the “white eyes” owner is asking millions for 40 acres assessed by the county at $14,000. He’s doing it because the land has sacred meaning for the tribe. Too bad Depp let the offer go public and only encourage the cretin.

Oh come on! The movie isn’t that bad. Make fun of the horse on the train bit all you want. This movie is about as mentally stimulating as almost all other action movies.

This one has something that most movies don’t have — a sense of humor. It doesn’t take itself seriously and as a result there are a lot of moments you can’t help but smile.

Not a bad movie. It has it’s moments. Just escapism and mind candy.

It was “Pirates of the Carribean Goes West”. Scrweing with a legend has consequences.

Not true. We went and the theater was full and it was the matinee. It’s a good movie.
