For more than two decades, political cartoonist Steve Kelley has devoted his attention to public officials the way the radiator grille of a tractor-trailer might devote its attention to June bugs. He has delighted readers by consistently consigning office-holders to the one fate they fear most: that of not being taken seriously.

So much for thinking about how justices will vote just because of what President appointed them

That’s what the world has been saying since 1999.

I remember that the media(except Faux) thought Roberts was a legal scholar first, and conservative, second. He proved he still is, with this decision.
disgustedtaxpayer said, 12 months ago
Roberts has switched from the conservative view of the constitution to the schizoid liberal view.
Roberts re-wrote the Senate-originated bill from a commerce mandated federal order to individuals to buy a product, to the world record TAX HIKE bill…unconsititutional because all tax bills must originate in the U.S. house.
that is liberal court activism at its worst.
a future court, if the USA survives, will have to overturn this 5/4 travesty.
our dictionaries would need to change the meaning of “tax” to include “insurance premiums”….
ARodney said, 12 months ago
No, they’re still insurance premiums, because they’re paid to insurance companies for coverage. The tax is only used for deadbeats who can afford insurance but refuse to buy it, mooching off the payments of the responsible public. I have no problem with that.

@disgustedtaxpayer
Sources please. If you quote Faux or Rush, you will be laughed at. We want FACTS!

“Sources please”
Pfffft!
Good luck with that.

you can laugh all the way to a USSA (Socialist, 100%) if you choose, Fox News gives continuous FACTS quoting government statistics and all the spectrum of opinion by analyists. Rush researches every issue he discusses. His conservative viewpoint usually brings his opinion into agreement with mine and I developed mine over every adult year of my age of 79…

you can laugh at Michael Savage also….but he has college degrees in the subject of what in nature and in pharmaceuticals effects the human body….and he reports that Justice Roberts has been long-term on epilepsy drugs which can effect cognition and memory. Every conservative is searching for the reason for Robert’s bizarre switch and the lack of LOGIC …..“he said the law is a tax, but if the law wasn’t written (by the Senate) as a tax, how can he say it’s taxation?”…the Obama lawyers in oral argument to the USSC argued it was not a tax, and then addd arguments that it was..(?) schizoid!

Putting the power to undo a nation into the hands of one man is always a mistake.

‘and he reports that Justice Roberts has been long-term on epilepsy drugs which can effect cognition and memory.’
OMG! Does this mean that corporations are not really people?

@braindead08
This is the part that stands out for me: “… Fox News gives continuous FACTS ….”
