Don’t worry the Republicans will fix everything, have’n you seen all of the their plans and proposals for fixing the economy, increasing jobs, reducing unemployement, restoring credit, and fixing the banks.

You haven’t? Neither have I. Could it be because they don’t have any, or because they don’t want to put any forward so they can be judged?

You Leftists always forget that prior to FDR, Americans never WANTED government meddling in their jobs, businesses, economy. FDR took a bad financial downturn and politicized it. Since then all the Demoncrats have done is build upon that theme, to the extent that today they really CAN destroy the economy, just by messing with mortgage lenders, banks, and big corporations (“cap and trade” being the final nail in the private sector’s casket).

I may be forced to live in this wretched, feminized, command-and-control economy you slave-minded simpletons are creating, but I’ll never embrace it. I’ll always yearn to have a government that simply lets men be free–free to either succed or fail based on their OWN free-will choices.

scott, what “Americans” do you refer to? The rich ones didn’t, no, which is why FDR was considered a “traitor to his class.” (So much for no class system in the USA.) FDR didn’t get elected four times on his looks, you know.

Scott you are dumb, if you recall that there were several acts created 1890 Sherman Act and 1914 Clayton Act, both of which limit the powers of the companies. Secondly, continual acts of violence and riots broke out due to unfavourable working conditions and low pay ever since the early 1800s. You are a complete idiot if you beleive that Americans (or anyone by that matter) ever would ever, ever, ever want to go back to the time when there wasnt labor or economic protections. Scott, you have just proven to me that you dont know history well, that you are completely out of touch with the modern time and that you proudly spew rhetoric from the far right without any factual basis what so ever.
