For more than two decades, political cartoonist Steve Kelley has devoted his attention to public officials the way the radiator grille of a tractor-trailer might devote its attention to June bugs. He has delighted readers by consistently consigning office-holders to the one fate they fear most: that of not being taken seriously.

You have to give credit to the public school system, Hollywood, public colleges, professors and the media for the lost of politeness, morals and traditional values.

Yeah, right. Politeness, like many other things, begins at home. Of course the media, school, college and the rest are responsible for what they teach, but they are not supposed do supplant your parents.
Also, I noticed you kinda singled out public education. Let me give you a hint - private schools and colleges are not a bastion of virtue either.
