The ‘toon may be appropriate, but, where is it OUR real problem to go in and run the show? Maybe we can help in some ways, but it ain’t OUR COUNTRY.

Which, granted it was only three girls, but how does a guy hold three women, for 10 years, and not get caught until they finally escape on their own? Oh, right, that was here in the U.S..

Why can’t some of these other, wealthy Islamic countries offer their help?

Perhaps Putin – the returned king – could put some troops in Nigeria rather than gathering on the borders of the Ukraine.

Some of the so-called war on terror is bogus and an excuse to meet other objectives. Any action against the Boko Haram is legitimate and necessary. This group cannot be allowed to get away with one of the most despicable acts against humanity in modern times. The International community must rise up against them and pursue them until the last vestige is wiped off the face of the earth. The U.S., Britain, and France have stepped up. It would be nice to see nations from the Islamic community, the eastern bloc, and others do likewise. The problem, of course, is how do you locate a diverse group in a primitive land and kill them without harming the girls. But try they must, and it will probably take time and patience.

As usual the devil is in the details. It was reported that at the urging of Nigeria and a number of other African nations, the State Department in 2011-2012 declined to place Boko Haram on the terrorist list. The thinking being that by putting them on the terrorist list, they would be given terrorist credibility that would enable them to more effectively raise funds. However, Hillary’s State Department did label three of their leaders as “global terrorists” in 2012. It was only in 2013 that Boko Haram was placed on the terrorist list when their atrocities become more apparent. But you will note that placing them on the terrorist list did not prevent the kidnapping of 300 innocent school girls. As usual, International politics is complex, and attempting to turn a terrorist event into political advantage is a fools game.

    CHURCHILLWAS RIGHT:
I have read many of your comments. And after doing so for many weeks now, I resent your using Winston Churchill as your moniker.
