You get one bucket, so use it wisely.

California had a severe water shortage in the ‘60s. California motto:

’In this land of sun and fun
We never flush for number one.’

    Plus ça change…

    “If its yellow
    Let it mellow.
    If its brown
    Flush it down.

Water shortages affect more than lawns for sure.

We heard the exact same mantra, and put bricks in our toilets, let the lawns wither – and I witnessed tanker trucks filling up with potable water at public hydrants (yes, they paid for the water), in order to sprinkle it on the ground for site development (dust control, soil compaction).
    .
Seems to me non-potable water should have been used, and CA is now mandating exactly that, for agriculture, golf courses, landscaping, etc.
    .
A sane balance between availability, social responsibility, and regulation is required to manage our very precious limited resources.

Eventually, water in the Colorado River will not make it to the Gulf.

The same reason Moochelle wears a $12,000 dress after her husband gives a speech about income inequality.

I’m sure it seemed like a good idea to build cities in the desert when the population was much smaller but, oops.

Yes, that was outrageous. She looked like a bloody pauper. Didn’t even have the class to wear $80,000 dresses like Laura Bush always did.
