If true, we should still NOT have invaded Iraq but Syria instead. If you believe in pre-emptive war that is…

In lma’s warped view,we should invade every country he doesn’t like. I think California, New York & Massachusetts are on his list.

The story of Iraqi WMDs going to Syria is nonsense. Assad has been a friend of Iran for decades. Iran was Saddam’s mortal enemy, so there’s no chance he would have handed his weapons to Assad. The fiction of the WMD transfer is pushed by people who were embarrassed by the absence of WMDs in Iraq. Sarin’s shelf life is a few weeks to a few months at best, & Iraqi sarin was on the low end of that shelf life. No way that the alleged sarin came out of Iraq.

Syria is known to have it’s own Sarin manufacturing facility, but the evidence of Syria using sarin is still shaky.

Only an idiot would suggest we invade Syria. Any direct involvement by the U.S. (or Israel for that matter) will not go over well, even with Assad’s enemies. We do need to push Turkey, Jordan & the Saudis into acting.

Like we’re not all suffering, mutating and dying daily from lawful, internationally sanctioned [ambivalently tolerated?] toxic stew we spew into our global environment?

We use white phosphorus, a chemical weapon as well as cluster bombs, napalm, and far more horrible weapons than sarin or even VX. Nerve agents are totally overblown in their ""effectiveness" in most applications. They DO create terror, especially it seems in psueudo-Christians in the U.S. that just want to invade another Muslim country, and create MORE havoc in the region.

BTW, we also use “chemical weapons” here at home, and call it “riot control” with protesting students sitting on sidewalks offering no resistance whatsoever,

Basically, Americans could use some lessons on “restraint”, thought, and application of a little intelligence. Oh, right, like Tim McViegh that “Muslim” terrorist, or maybe a good Christian shooting up a grade school, or what might be an illegal operation of a chemical company in Texas.
