   Probably a good thing I only watch about an hour of broadcast TV every three months. Enough to keep it off for another three months, tabloids at checkoutlines are the same, no clue who is on the covers, never heard of most of them.

   But Elvis I knw, and Elvis’s pregnant alien girlfriend is likely as relevant as whoever is in this cartoon.

   Glancing at NBCNews a few hours ago I learned that she has a much more serious (and rare) condition than the usual morning sickness. Has a wicked Latin name, but the story is gone, so no more infos. Anyway, was described as “feeling like you are dying”. Every little movement makes you vomit, up to the point were you dehydrate and get into serious trouble. Oh dear! Glad I’m a guy…

   Actually, the royal bloodlines were (historically) much, much more diverse than those of the peasantry. Peasants usually married someone from within walking distance. Royals usually married someone from another kingdom (for political purposes).

    Actually, the correct word is ‘nauseated.’ ’Nauseous" means something that make you sick. Or…wait…maybe it IS the same thing.

    Sure, it’s just celebrity gossip with a pedigree, but c’mon. They’re a good-looking couple, and they’re an honest-to-gosh Prince and Princess, and that’s going to have resonance.
    

    
    Snooki’s pregnant, Kate’s pregnant, some people care about one, some about the other, some about both, and some about neither, but ONE of those babies is likely going to end up sitting on the British throne eventually. (The other is exceedingly unlikely to end up on the British throne, but who can say what the future holds?)
