I remember once stopping in a gas station where a guy was buying smokes from a clerk who was of middle eastern descent. The clerk was wearing a turban and the guy asked him if he believed in Bin Laden. The clerk didn’t respond and I wiggle my keys so the guy knows I’m behind him and I need to pay the clerk so I can fill up my car. He turns around at me and says, “This guy believes in Bin Laden but he doesn’t want to say. These guys, they’re all the same.”
He walks out of the store and I look at the clerk. He says, “I’m Sikh and that a-word can’t tell the difference.”
“Sikhs wear tubans…”
