There seems to be alot of concern about a child before it is born, and concern after a child dies, why don’t we show as much concern a child while it is alive?

Those of us who Respect Life do care about these children and do what we can for them though many various charities bother home and abroad.

Unfortunately, just a baloon wouldn’t help. People care much more about what happens in their country.

The issue is that a hot air balloon captures attention for a short news cycle. Ongoing poverty and starvation are just that – ongoing. They are not “news” because they are old. The problem with a news culture is that once it’s not new anymore, it’s of no interest. Perhaps what we need is a reality show where contestants live in the same conditions as those children portrayed above. Whoever survives wins. It’d get more viewers than if it got a 10 second spot on the news.

Don’t see why we should feed them. They’ll just grow up and make more babies that will also starve. No point.

When their radical governments allow the aid to actually get to the people, they will eat. Ouch Neocon…glad you aren’t speaking for all conservatives

ETOCME: NEOCON is a liberal who thinks he’s posting as a conservative.

While “third world” overpopulation remains a problem, it is the arrogant overpopulation and consumption in the “first world” that is the real global problem. A car (as one example) and its owner, consumes far more resources than a camel and a herder. In fact obtaining those resources for the car have killed a lot of camels, and their environment.

The same people that are willing to send over 4000 military people to their deaths in Iraq. You are a hypocrite.
