The majority of Americans want the public option.
Why is there none?
HOWGOZIT said, about 1 month ago
Actually I saw it on CNN–well done CNN! You do tell it like it is once in awhile.

He missed a bunch of other gas-bags: the entire on-air staff of Fox “News.”

DrCanuck illuminates: Simple, because the American people haven’t hired lobbyists to buy Congressmen.
Where’d you get the dumb idea that Congressmen represent the people who elected them?

“Where’d you get he dumb…”–from college professors.

Interesting double standard. When far worse pejoratives are used against Sarah Palin the chattering class is strangely silent.
dtroutma said, about 1 month ago
Actually, the real gas bags were the “press”, and their corporate bosses, who captured the attention of an idiot public with this tripe. From the first moment of “lift off” it was obvious from the “home video” made by a publicity hound with a TV studio in his basement(!!!) that the whole thing was a hoax.
It just proves you can float any balloon, and the public will be distracted from the real issues of the day, on FOX, CNN, or the major broadcast networks.
Maybe we should also relate that Frist, Newt, Palin, and many more gas emitters from the right have been treated quite well, instead of hoisted on their own swords, by the alleged “liberal” press.

couple of thoughts: this couldn’t be Faux News, because they only hire blonde female anchors.
Pelosi a gas bag? hardly. Would be funnier if the anchor said “Now to other gas bags in the news” and reported on Limbaugh and the football story. He is, after all, the original gas bag.
And I hope Pelosi keeps talking public option; I hope it goes back in.

The public option: is it in or out? The Democrats in 2010: Are they in or out?

anyone can criticize Pelosi, just do it with facts and not inflammatory false rhetoric.
she is liberal and represents a liberal district, but as Speaker she isn’t pushing a liberal agenda beyond what the Democratic members want. Remember, she said impeachment and other investigations into criminal acts by Bush were off the table immediately after being named Speaker. There were some Democratic members that didn’t agree with that.

Pelosi’s conduct on many topics has been pretty poor, but now she’s being called a gasbag because of her talk of the public option, a topic that really matters to almost everyone?
Riiiiight.

4uf4ata: i agree. keep talking public option. Without it, there is no real reform of health care delivery system via insurance.

4uk4ata: I to agree. Please keep the public option alive the insurance industry needs someone to compete against ‘cause they have had no one who is willing to step up to the plate and give the people what is needed.

And ignore all the other bleeep she says BCS?

^ Ignore or not as you wish. When you state an opinion of dislike for Pelosi, that’s your right. When I state an opinion of liking her continuing push for a public option, that’s my right. I support a public option!
