Typical leftist. Demonizes that which allows him to live like a king, while trying to make everyone else poor and miserable along the way…

I thought he said he can now afford to make his own movies without having to depend on the capitalist pigs that stumped cash for him before. In fact, he made a great show of biting the hand that fed him at some ceremony recently?

Breen must be having an off day. Usually he’s smart enough to tell the difference between condemning a system’s excesses & failings and condemning the system itself.

Moore as an independent film maker hit it like Harry Potter in providing what the folks wanted to see, he doesn’t deny it, he didn’t steal it, like Ken Lay and Bush’s other bunnies.

right trout
he’s an artist
and a politician in a way - except he’s not running for anything, but like politicians, he’s making a lot of money from ones who trust him
they’ve got their bellering beck, lucky limbaugh, doughy dobson, hairdo hannity *(somebody else’s name for him) - what’s not to like about michael moore

Yeah Yeah Yeah - and he made his money’s in Such a corrupt fashion and took advantage of soooo many people while committing that unpardonable crime of TELLING THE TRUTH !!!
Oh Yeah He’s a BADDDDDD man… if you are one of those whose nefarious schemes, underhanded dealings and outright theft he has exposed in his films.
FYI - he doesn’t “work” for anyone except the American People who DON’T have K street Whores and PR firms and “media on a leash” to hold forth the position that anything done in defense of the corporate structure CAN NOT AND WILL NOT QUESTIONED AS ANYTHING OTHER THAN “THE” AMERICAN WAY.
Oh Yeah, he’s a danger… he’s films should be required viewing for anyone who claims to be a patriot.
PS - i bet you haven’t even seen a single film of his ? did BeckBoy tell you not to ???

Howie, exactly what would one investigate? What legal excuse would there be to do so other than you don’t like him?
HOWGOZIT said, about 1 month ago
cd: I was just using a parody about Frank wanting to investigate the reporters that outed ACORN. Don’t take everything so seriously or try to read what you want into it.

I wonder if it is possible to be a free artist without being mean to everyone who deserves it (even if it is the hand that fed you).

Michael Moore has been telling the truth for so many years now that he deserves some financial reward, if only to have free rein to express what he sees as the Big Problems of Capitalism. I don’t agree with all his points but I certainly agree with many of them.
dtroutma said, about 1 month ago
A point Michael speaks to is that “American Capitalism” is NOT. Our powers that be have replaced democracy with an economic tyranny that is actually closer to feudalism. They’ve traded the Constitution for a checkbook.

Find & rent movie “Michael Moore Hates America”. It faithfully points out his lies and half truths.

However much money Moore has, he has earned it himself. The same cannot be said for Wall St. bankers, investment bankers and those that make their money from preying upon others.
4uk4ata said, about 1 month ago
/shrug. Moore has made money by making films that people buy. If he’s ok with living in a society which offers more social services in exchange for higher taxes, it’s his right. He takes a political stand, and a lot of people don’t like him. A lot of people do.
So what?
parkersinthehouse said, about 1 month ago
“michael moore hates america” vid is a word i used to use that starts with b and ends with t. it’s a pretty sorry attempt
you can rent movies about anything. artistic license and the first amendment allow it
i once saw a video, rented at blockbuster, by a holocaust denier with all his pathetic attempts to disprove
you may not like michael moore (probably because he tells the truth - emotion his own -) but his research is rich and he’s a good documentarist

BCS–the same cannot be said about a majority of politicians.

Michael Moore makes the point as dtroutma notes that capitalism has taken over our government through lobbyists and it is not the same as it was 50 years ago. The result has been the melt down of our economy, and the Wall Street bail out.

Howie, I agree, the same cannot be said for many politicians, the same cannot be said for those born into wealth and the influence it buys.

Have you actually SEEN the movie Parker or, is your comment based on the title alone?
ReasonsVentriloquist said, about 1 month ago
Making money is not “Capitalism” by definition.
A farmer, for example is not a capitalist. He grows a crop and he makes money by selling it.
Capatilism is making your money (capital) make more money for you.
d_legendary1 said, about 1 month ago
When someone makes a documentary and makes money while doing it he is a venture capitalist.
When someone manipulates stocks, brings corporations to their knees via naked short selling, and screws the American People out of jobs we call them scum. I’d say criminals but the previous administration made sure they weren’t labeled as such.
And the pope is a child molesting A-hole!

Folks who make money off of hedge funds and high volume trading and day trading make money without honest work and without adding value to the companies whose stock they gamble on.
Moore earns his the old-fashioned way, he earns it by creating a product some will choose to pay to see.
Membwayne said, about 1 month ago
I call the economic system we have now “neomercantilism”. To call it “capitalism”, either through error or through intent to discredit it, throws the baby out with the bath water.
Witness NAFTA, the supposed North American Free Trade Agreement. Over a thousand pages to implement free trade? BS! Real implementation of free trade would require just one sentence: “All subsidies, duties, price supports, tarriffs, special taxes (etc.) on all imports and exports are hereby repealed”.
Mr. Moore seems to have good intentions. I believe he cares about people and wants to help them. But so did the doctor who bled George Washington to death trying to cure him of his fever.
