Clearly you don’t understand the word “unfortunate.”

I would reccomend against posting that you have already posted a link, as according to recent history no such link exists.

    If
    A) you have no such link, you can better just reference that you read and thus dodge any need to back

    B) if there is such a link it is only a ctrl – p – c away

Polls don’t count when they go against the right wing.
Isn’t that how the Republicans got themselves into this mess, by ignoring reality?

“Isn’t that how the Republicans got themselves into this mess, by ignoring reality?”

No, by expecting the Dems to actually give a rip about anyone but themselves.

And Benson can’t read well. From a CNN poll: http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/30/politics/cnn-poll-shutdown-blame/index.html

“The number who would hold congressional Republicans responsible has gone down by 5 points since early September, and the number who would blame Obama is up 3 points in that same time,” said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. “Those changes came among most demographic groups.”

Obama’s approval is at 37%, but that’s better than when Bush’s was there.

    Keep drinkin’.

Republicans only believe in polls when they agree with their already pre-concieved ideas!
    Otherwise, they are obviously wrong.

Today’s news informs us that, while the Senate – and a large number in the House – seek to arrive at a reasonable form of compromise, that would give further time for REAL “negotiations”, the Teabagheads have, as usual, REFUSED. The polls DO SHOW the Republicans plummeting DOWNWARDS; but never mind REALITY and FACTS. The idiotologists and idiotologues are at the controls; and they will cause National rack and ruin before they will give an inch in their headlong rush to turn the clock backwards as far as they possibly can.

“Yuh, nice try at deflecting Republican sabotage of America’s government, at great cost to the economy, jobs, and the average citizen!”

Not deflecting, just noticing that both must have received the same memo this morning.

I continue to be amazed at the gullibility of the average Dem voter.

Dems can do no wrong, and people who have been off the scene for decades are still blamed for everything. Obama continues “bad” Bush policies, and even expands them, but it’s OK for him. Web site glitches are only due to load, but even Gibbs says that’s not true. Obama and Reid say “I’ll veto or stifle any bill that contains anything I don’t like,” but it’s still the GOP’s fault. Obama uses discretionary money for golf courses instead of vets’ death benefits, but the GOP gets blamed. Dems spend extra money to close open-air memorials, as well as private sites that cost the government nothing, but their hands are clean. Obama’s claims about ACA are shown to be made of whole cloth, but he’s still a hero.

Yummy Kool-Aid. Media in Obama’s pocket. Better at deflecting than I could ever hope to be.

I love it how RWNJs ignore polls that don’t support their delusions. It worked out for President Romney, right?

Ahab: the Grand Canyon isn’t the only place in NPS with this problem. Yosemite, among others, has quite few suicides. WHICH, btw, about those Rangers who have to risk THEIR LIVES just to recover bodies and give the families “closure”? Those are the folks now being vilified by Cruz, “Freedomworks”, and that idiot from Wasilla, because REPUBLICANS have held up budgets FOR FIVE YEARS!

<br"Oh right, these are the folks who continue to do these often dangerous jobs, with no guarantee of receiving their salaries because that $78,000 a year in green fees to play golf Boehner, refuses to go to the table with a single viable, honest, and needed, budget proposal, AGAIN!!

You sound like you are grasping at straws.
The pressure of the right wing stupidity getting to you?
    No one here defended Obama.
No one said Dems can do no wrong.
We were being critical of the right, you are the one deflecting things, we have no need to.

I have a photo of my mother’s family from when she was about five, in 1924 or 1925, and it looks very much like the photo you posted. My grandfather worked in the mines in Colorado and died of lung disease when he was 45, because there was no union to insist on proper safety equipment. There were four daughters in the family — they all went to university and made good lives for themselves. They were proud of the hard work they put in to make something of themselves, but they never forgot what it was like to live in poverty, and they never said “hey, I made it, why can’t everyone?” They said, “hey, I made it, how can I help?” The New Deal improved the lives of millions of people. We need a new New Deal.

If Republicans are so low in the polls – why do they always land on top of the Democrats?
