She is to good for the dynamite prize! Plus she does not go around saying how bad the USA is or how man is killing the planet. And she does not need a collar around he neck like Obama.

Instead they gave it to two crooks for taking Saddam’s bribes and lying to slander the USA.

You are appalling. Read up on what this incredibly brave teenager did fighting the Taliban.

Saying the people who won it didn’t deserve to win is utter bs, and they have done far more for peace than she ever did. Yes, she stood up against the idiots but doesn’t equal deserving that price.

I have a friend from Oslo who can’t understand how they pick the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, which (according to the New York Times) is the most prestigious prize in the world. Obviously, that’s because she’s not a Norwegian, since only Norwegians understand how they pick the winners.

Malala is a Pakistani, and the overwhelming majority of Pakistanis (again, according to the New York Times) are in complete agreement that she should never even be considered for the prize. After all, she might call herself a Muslim, but she’s clearly an infidel (by South Asian standards). No Pakistani woman ever leaves her harem (unless she’s a prostitute), so it’s only hookers that go out to what they call ‘school.’

So no Norwegian is going to support giving the prize to a fallen women whose own countrypersons consider a prostitute.

Thank you for trolling my comment. the world at large has gotten good use out of the collar of “Peace Prize” they strapped around the American President. But by giving this girl a “peace prize” might legitimize her cause. that could not support what they have in mind. i mean she is for women rights! She got shot in the face! She has faced DEATH in order to bring her message to the world. I mean what would dhe do with the million $, Invest it in the girls of her country against the will of the Radical Muslims she defies. No that money is better spent on a world leader who just came to power. This way they can use it to steer him away from conflicts they do not want him into.

Barack Obama has dirtied the Nobel Peace Prize. Who would want it now?

As a liberal who thought that award was bizarre & rather premature, I find this comment funny. I suspect Malala will get one that is well deserved.

If you’d have seen her recent media appearances, I don’t think you would say this. The team that is demolishing Assad’s chemical weapons are very deserving, but Malala looks like she might have a much bigger & more enduring role in world events. I fully expect she will get a Nobel sooner or later.

Is there an award for getting shot? Had she went on a worldwide tour bashing America she would have gotten 2 No-Bell awards.

Dude, that’s just ignorant troll talk. She isn’t important because she was shot, but because of how she responded. She believes in most of the same things you & I believe. She is saying so publicly, despite the fact that it puts an even bigger target on her than she had before. And, she is using her sudden celebrity to help other girls in places where girls aren’t supposed to get any real education. Ms. Yousafzai doesn’t bash America, yet she is clearly a devout Muslim. Shouldn’t we be supporting her?

First they complain that an awardwinner hasn’t done anything yet, then they complain that someone just starting out didn’t win. Yes, I hope by next year she has advanced her mission and is recognized. I think the kid is great. But a little consistency in the bitching, please.

You all do realize she didn’t lose to Obama, right? Evrn you can’t be that dumb, right?
Having said that, the committee will be here next year, but Malala is always in danger of her life. By the Pakistani equivalent of our republicans.
