“Conservatives” screamed “bomb somebody” for over two years, and are still whining about pulling out of Afghanistan, and letting the Afghans have their own country. Same for Egypt and Syria.

Most “LIbs” have been against interfering in either Syria or Egypt, through the use of “force”.

I was happy to see Obama take time to consider all options and yes, NOT commit the US to action. Now, it’s disappointing to see him apparently knuckle under to the nuckleheaded approach used by Bush and Cheney, because of “pressure to be tough guy”. The Nobel was about being the “smart guy” on the block, not the “tough guy”., we, as a nation need to stay that route.

Clinton successfully stepped in to stop Christians from killing Muslims with bombing in Serbia, but don’t see that actually doing much good here.

Darn if you to, darn if you don’t… If Obama’s predecessor had not cried wolf (eh, cried WMD) one time too many in Iraq, maybe we could find some allies for this war, with the REAL WMDs…

Never conflate someone taking their time with someone simply dithering and unable to make an effective decision.

Obama has already repeatedly demonstrated an inability to make timely decisions and take decisive action. He is simply dithering and the situation will end up far worse than it is because of it.

The opposition to Assad in Syria is made up of the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda. Seriously, we are debating whether we want to aid “radical” militaristic Muslims this soon after 9/11.

There is no debate. No intervention in Syria.
