I doubt Brewer needs the excuse of a hoodie to shoot anyone.

Does this mean Mr. McCain will be joining Mr. McConnall as a Republican who is too liberal to be a senator representing Republicans, at least the Republicans who are most vocal?
    Curiously,

Isn’t this about Arizona, and Jan Brewer, and John McCain? Used or not, ‘stand your ground’ laws invite murder.

I don’t believe you can see anything when your own head is stuck up your own butt.

I just read those jury instructions, and me9970 is absolutely correct. Stand Your Ground was not used as a defense and it didn’t apply to the case. The jury instructions included a lot of different scenarios that the jury could consider. They did not have the opportunity to consider Stand Your Ground, as Zimmerman never had any opportunity to retreat once Martin assaulted him.

Are you serious? You don’t know who assaulted who, or why. There were no witnesses. All you had to go by is the word of the man on trial for shooting and killing an unarmed man.

What’s truly amazing is that Barry Goldwater would now be considered a flaming liberal in Arizona! Which by the way, look at how many people from Michigan and the “snow belt” have moved permanently to the “sun belt”, and made those areas far more conservative than in the past. (Orange County California saw the same thing.)

The adage that as people grow older, they grow more conservative does bear out statistically, but it also coincides with the development of demential and Alzheimer’s.

Jan Brewer would take offense to Anything Anybody said.
She is the most offensive person in Arizona except for "Kill-em-all-Sherriff Joe.

“You don’t know who assaulted who, or why. There were no witnesses. All you had to go by is the word of the man on trial for shooting and killing an unarmed man.”
    .
If your concerned about truth, read the 911 transcriptions, Zimmerman’s interrogation by the police and research the texts on Martin’s phone.
    .
The account we have about the 911 calls were edited to better enable the “race card” to be drawn. After the operator told Zimmerman not to follow he replied “ok” (something the mainstream media omitted).
    .
If you read the texts on Martin’s phone and Zimmerman’s account of what Martin said during their encounter the characterization was very accurate. In one of those texts Martin expressed disappointment in a previous fight he had that his opponent didn’t “bleed enough”.
    .
The texts portray Martin as a kid that liked to fight and considering the beating was described by witness(s?) as “MMA” style, along with Zimmerman being the only one with injuries (aside from Martin’s bullet wound) support Zimmerman’s account of the events.
    .
Until I read the 911 transcriptions, Zimmerman’s initial interview with the police and Martin’s text I thought at least a manslaughter conviction was doable, but afterwards I understand the verdict because those 3 items paint a very consistent picture.
    .
To believe that Zimmerman was the one assaulting Martin, Zimmerman would have had to miss all the blows (since Martin had no scars), which is at least unrealistic. If your on top of your opponent, it’s pretty darn hard to miss ANY blows, much less all of them.

Stand your ground means you can profile, stalk, accost, start to lose and kill an unarmed, innocent kid.
