Knew folks involved in the very first startup of the TEA party, some were actually a little rational. That “party” today has definitely gone over to the lunatic fringe, and much of it IS related to “evangelical types”, and well, bigots in some areas.

The case of the marijuana and the Federales, does smack of Issa’s tactics.

On what planet did Benson get the idea that pro-Border Enforcement people would condone Mexican officials planting evidence, then trying to extort/get bribe money from American Citizens? Maybe he’s looking at this bass-ackwards because she and her husband are Latter-Day Saints. Ever since he got ‘exed’, he’s been more bitter and off the mark.

It’s time to stop relying on the fact that the Democratic Party WAS “different” and guilty of abuses before the Civil Rights Act. But as Johnson correctly said, the act lost the south to the “southern” Republicans who now carry on the torch, and wear the sheets. Incidentally, at one time OREGON was a hotbed of KKK activity, but that’s changed too, and northern Idaho seems to have taken on the role.

Idaho is also home to the Aryan Nation.

Anyone unfamiliar with the Republican “Southern Strategy” should read Mr. Nixon’s explanation of it. Also, look up why Mr. Reagan chose to start his campaign for president in Philadelphia, Mississippi, and why he started his speech with the statement, “I believe in States’ Rights.”

Some may say that’s also ancient history. But it’s interesting. Racism is not unique to any one political party.
