It is a good thing indeed that someone as backwards and hateful as you will never, ever hold any sort of position of power over anyone.

I see, so you don’t differentiate between a soldier sent to a war zone doing their job and a religious radical nut job killing someone?

    You really are a toon . . .

The man blood soaked man in the video was raised in a Christian home. His parents moved away from London when they saw their son was being radicalized, hoping that he would get his senses back. It didn’t work. He returned to London and rejoined the radical groups.
Militant Islam has become a magnet for angry, disaffected youth who are looking for justification to behave in a violent, destructive manner.
After all it is ok to murder somebody, as long as you’re doing it in the name of God.
They remind of the anarchists who were prevalent at turn of the 20th century and some of the radical groups, such as the Weathermen, in the 1960s and 70s.

Judging from the replies you are getting it seems some did not even finish reading your post.

    Unambiguous it was…
“huge difference between UNDERSTANDING a behavior and SUPPORTING that behavior”
    caps are yours.
    .
I am thinking some folks do not want to understand, as if understanding would interfere with their hatred.
    .
It does not work that way, they could still hate Muslims, knowledge will not change that.

Exactly how many nations have “radical Muslims” carpet bombed, while still not getting the “bad guys”, but killing hundreds of thousands of civilians? Yes, the guys in London were nuts, but thankfully, they didn’t have bombers, cruise missiles, and drones.

I remember when it was just communists who were the essence of evil. Then it was socialists. Now it’s liberals. What’s next?

^You sound just like my right wingnut brother, who never worked on anything but a government contract, even though “private industry” called mistakenly “defense”. When I tried to explain to him what really happened in ‘Nam, he screamed "You don’t know anything about Communists". I simply pointed out “I’ve killed a lot more of them than you have”.

He died the same right wingnut he always was, but his final medical bills fell to the taxpayers, between Medicare and his insurance from the defense contractor he retired from.

I would also have advised him that chickenhawks really shouldn’t use bold face print to “scream” their lunacy.

Hmm, what happened after we left? You mean the fact that Japanese and Australians came in and harvested most of the trees, CONOCO brought in it’s highest producing well just off the coast in Vietnamese waters, a good share of U.S. garment manufacturers built plants in Viet Nam (at first run by Koreans to get past the “embargo”), or the fact that carbon fiber parts for Textron’s Huey helicopters are now made in Viet Nam (now THERE is an irony!).

BTW, a few years ago spoke with an ex-Vietnamese navy guy who spent some time in a “reeducation camp”, and said it wasn’t pleasant, but not much worse than being in the military. His associated computer programmer working here in the states with him was born about the time I was in the country. His father had been a doctor, and found things “easier” AFTER the war ended than his treatment by the government WE backed for so long. They BOTH came to work in the U.S. for the money, and planned to return home after a few years making the “big bucks” here, because the experience, and money, would set them up for great positions in the job market back home..

Vietnam may be more truly “capitalist” today than parts of the monopoly controlled U.S..

Christopher Hitchens put it the most simply and elegantly: Religion Poisons Everything.

You mean like the “patriots” who threaten to secede by violence, or assassinate the president? I agree with you. They should be deported.
