Can I get some captioning for the nonsense-impaired, here?

It was actually his older brother who was banished for going to Tokyo Disneyland (among other reasons, like gambling and being a capitalist). The Kim family just seems to focus on the more bizarre aspects of western culture.
Of course, I think that Steve is actually comparing North Korean leadership to the Mickey Mouse Club.I’m just glad to see Annette getting a cartoon instead of just Roger Ebert and Margaret Thatcher this week.

You see that I took Kim at his word. I left Korea.

As one of the multitude of men my age admiring Annette, I am deeply offended that Kim Jong Un would appreciate her.

It almost makes him human, and he is not.

Agree on the “Mickey Mouse” aspect, and in many ways “Disney Corporation” DOES operate a lot like Kim’s regime.

But having met her on occasion when she was a kid, (a good one, as compared to some really intolerable "child actors), and watching her grow into a truly admirable and courageous adult, it is a shame to pull Annette into the discussion.

Well, I would not quite go that far as Bennett is an Editorial Cartoonist, and it is then in his nature to totally exaggerate a situation. He happens to lean in a liberal direction, but the conservative Editorial Cartoonists do the same thing. But neither are you incorrect. I did find it at least somewhat offensive to have a great lady such as Annette Funichello even in the same cartoon as the obviously psycho leaders of North Korea. Glad to see eye to eye with you on at least a few points!!

The Kim Dynasty is known to be fascinated by American movies and American movie stars as well as American sports heroes. Besides, they’re probably the only ones in North Korea who can afford Netflix.
