The R’s also blew the intel on Saddam’s WMDs…swallowed everything their pwecious widdle ‘Curveball’ fed them without questioning any of it.
( And no, those quotes from Dems the righties are always posting have long since been shown to have no context. Go to Snopes.com and enter WMDs and Saddam in the search box. )

@Radish – Bush was warned as late as August of ’01 and stayed on vacation in Crawford, TX. Where was the outrage? Where IS the outrage. Bush should be brought up on charges AFAIK.

Thank you, Steve. I cannot imagine being outraged at four deaths in a hot zone when the accusers do not try those in charge when 3000 were killed ON OUR OWN SOIL.

Yes, how dare anyone talk back to the smartest woman in the world! We’ll put a stop to that in about four years.

Because there was a failure of Intelligence in 2001 does not justify or rationalize the failure in Libya. We are so wrapped up in stupid finger pointing and rhetoric (on both sides) the the truth is the last discovery of the process.

Hey, Ran Paul, you would have fired Hilary if you were president for three people dying so I guess you would have put Bush, Cheney and Rice up against a fire squad for 9/11. Why haven’t they ever been prosecuted for neglect of duty and criminal incompetence I will never know. Do you know, you lame a$$, Obama?

Far be it from me to ruin anyone’s fantasies by interjecting some facts here, but there are vast differences. The intelligence failure in regard to 9-11 was more of a systemic failure due to a lack of communication between the CIA and FBI. IF it would have been possible to send a general alert to all agencies the attack MIGHT have been prevented. While it feels good to blame Bush (and he certainly deserves blame for the push to invade Iraq), he had neither the reason nor the intelligence (in both senses of the word) to change the culture within the FBI and CIA that might have prevented 9-11.
On the other hand the attacks on Rice and Clinton is nothing more than posturing by grown men who seek to tear down people better qualified than they are.

2000-2008 was the epitome of “Intelligence Failure”, starting in the Oval Office!
skipcarlsen said, 4 months ago
Even IF one were to concede that 9/11 was a failure of our intelligence community (and I don’t because although we had some intelligence that something was afoot, we had NO specific intelligence indicating how/where/when) what the criminally negligent Clinton did far exceeds it because they did have specific intelligence targeting our consulate in Benghazi, denied them the additional security the consulate requested, and then attempted to cover up the obvious increased Islamic terrorist presence in order to enhance Obumble’s reelection campaign claim that he had somehow singlehandedly reduced Islamic terrorism in the Middle East!

Clinton tried to get more consulate security there; House Republicans blocked the bill.
