Oh purrr-leeese, can we stop it with the Manti Te’o jokes? Why do people take enjoyment and glee out of such a sad story? Take an 8th class math exam, then laugh about yourselves…

@Rockngolfer
Look at Toles today to see where the chair came from in the first place…

Schadenfreude, pure and simple. We love laughing at the failures of others so we feel less bad about our OWN failures.

That’s the one thing I’ve never liked about Benson. He never knows then it’s time to put a tired subject to bed

Cool, does this mean that like the girlfriend, Obama isn’t really here, and that we will all be able to wake up from the horrible nightmare?

Bobby Jindal speaking: “We have to stop being the stupid party.” Boy, did he finally call something RIGHT!
A nation divided over a football player’s farcebook fantasies IS in deep doo-doo!!

I thought the Clint Eastwood reference was mildly funny.
I don’t think of Teo’s story as sad… no one involved looks like an innocent victim. Teo knowingly or unknowingly played up a false story for his personal benefit. His coaches & school completely failed to help him straighten things out when he had a chance. The media swallowed a lie, hook, line & sinker.
I suppose the women who unwittingly had her picture used as the imaginary girlfriend has cause for complaint.
College sports became a big business in the U.S. a long time ago. I pay little attention to it. But, many take these things very seriously.

Clint Eastwood? I thought that was Joe Biden.
