Y’know, Whine—er, Wayne—the more you scream about gun control being tyranny, the more people want it! Including most members of the NRA, but then, they’re only good to give you a speaking platform for your foaming-at-the-mouth insanity.

I don’t see why you need to fire 50 shots per minute to bag a deer. Two or three is all I ever got off hunting birds. Fact is, 50 shots per minute is all about killing people, or fantasizing about killing people. Hunting people, or hunting people who hunt people, that’s what the NRA is selling.

I see Steve buys into Odrama’s use of kids. I do remember a nice poster of Stalin holding up a baby. I guess all “great” leaders hide behind kids huh?

Living out in the country in Southern Kentucky, during hunting season I can hear hunters in the woods shooting at all hours of the day.
I’m not sure I want someone wandering around out here that needs a weapon that can pump out a couple of hundred rounds a minute. If you are such a lousy shot that you need THAT kind of firepower to get a Deer, or a Turkey, or whatever, maybe, JUST MAYBE, you REALLY don’t need to be out in the woods hunting!

Ronald Reagan was so senile in 1994 he barely knew what he had for breakfast. The fact that Piers Morgan and others on the Left would try to use a Reagan quote from 1994 (and it wasn’t his quote, it was also signed by Ford and Carter) shows the disingenuous approach of those that want to further the agenda of gun control.
Would everyone please just stop talking about deer hunting? The Second Amendment is clearly aimed right at protecting citizens from their own government or from an invading force.

Very little has been done to make me appreciate the government lately. People who call themselves “patriots” have done more than anyone or anything. They are scary. They are deluded. They are dangerous to mental health—creating paranoia and fear, because they are paranoid and fearful themselves. This is the way of the extreme right: make everyone the same, including filled with fear and paranoia.

It’s not just LaPierre. Their whole leadership is nuts. Otherwise how can the ad about the Presidents children be explained. And then the NRA’s #2 comes on TV and says “We never mentioned them”. Such bold faced liars I have seldom seen!

Whenever I see children used in the manner of this cartoon, the way the NRA did, or as props (as the President did yesterday), I immediately become suspicious of the strength of the argument they are trying to present.

Of course nobody needs 30 rounds to bag a deer. Do you really think that’s what is at stake? 30 rounds can protect you from groups, from gangs, from riots, and can even protect you in situations the 2nd Amendment was created for.

“The Second Amendment is clearly aimed right at protecting citizens from their own government”
Hmm. The Second Amendment talks about a well-regulated Militia. If “Militia” means “armed citizenry”, then what are the duties of that Militia? Let’s have a look over at Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, regarding the duties of Congress:
“To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;”
So Congress can call forth the Militia to suppress insurrections. Seems to me that means that, were you to take up arms against the lawfully-elected government, it would be the Constitutional duty of the Militia (armed citizens) to stop you. And the Constitution is the inviolable law of the land, to be followed by every patriot….
I think the Constitution has the same problem the Bible does- too many people only reading the parts they like and ignoring the rest.

Obama, exploiting kids to make a political point. Awww, aren’t they cute?
Look at the ugly mean old NRA who are defending the Second Amendment for us! They are demons. It’s all their fault that the loser whackjobs in society want celebrity status. Somehow,, we’re not sure of the exact link yet, but somehow the NRA makes people mentally ill and makes them want to kill people and makes them break laws!
All our problems would go away if we could just get rid of the NRA. Then society would return to civility… No more shootings… No more mental illness…
Just one big happy family!

Yah Obama thinks he is a some nice wholesome figure like Andy handing out one bullet to be placed in our pocket. It is for our own good.

Obama’s button should read: “I heart being despot.”
.
Despots love oppressive government and hate people with guns.

This IS a good cartoon: good art and a clear message.
