Liberals LOVE to tell other people to SHUT UP! They don’t have any other power but to try to take away free speech from others.

    @ScottPM

WRONG Scotty! Yesteray I heard conservative talk show host Lars Larson saying that it might be a good idea if we went over the fiscal cliff…because maybe it would wake people up to what a horrible mistake they made when they re-elected Barack Obama.

And that wasn’t the first or only time I heard that sentiment expressed by a rhgit-winger

Yep, just look at the way they herd protestors into ‘Free Speech Zones’ so they can’t be heard by the President

    Oh? That was Bush?

And the Conservatives +cheered* when he did that?

    Sorry…my bad.

    I didn’t realize Bill O’Reilly is considered a liberal.

    .

    Democrats did that too.
But I guess it’s okay when they do it, huh?
In fact, it began at the Democratic National Convention in 1988. Atlanta set up a “designated protest zone” to prevent disruptions by the anti-abortion group Operation Rescue and its opponents.

I didn’t hear the comment and so am taking you at your word, which may be a mistake, but Obama’s policies are driving us over the cliff. Republicans believe they are trying to stop it and Obama keeps changing his position to make it impossible.
IF Larson said this, I believe he’s trying to say, “Let Obama own his economy.”
Republicans are in a lose/lose situation right now. If they go along with Obama, they will be blamed for the fiscal cliff that will happen. If they resist, they will be blamed for resisting and causing the fiscal cliff.

The Mayans must have been predicting the end of Crybaby Boehner’s Plan BS. Now we just need to end Lush Limburger’s program of sheer ignorance for a much better country.

Mr. Limbaugh calls himself an entertainer but his words make people who believe him write letters and call legislators. Rush is to his conservative listeners, equivalent to Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert to their listeners. We can debate their various levels of “truthiness”, but the point is, they are preaching to their individual choirs who have already made up their minds. I do not like Rush Limbaugh and have sent emails to some of his sponsors. We can vote with our wallets. I don’t buy Brawny paper towels for instance, because they are produced by the Koch brothers
Perhaps, Mr. Limbaugh will one day be properly sued for libel of slander, but until that day, his first amendment rights must be tolerated, if not respected, unless we are prepared to have commentators we like silenced as well.
Change the channel, not the laws.
    Respectfully,
    C.

As usual, a Leftist quotes someone on the Right with an out of context snippet.
I’m sure we can all believe Rush wants the world to end.
    [rolling eyes]
    .
But let’s talk about how our main man, the President is doing in action overseas. He’s who we should be focusing on now, not irrelevant out of context comments used as a diversion.
    .
Bet you didn’t hear about these gaffes on Rachel Maddow, and Jon Stewart:

On Obama’s trip to Asia last month, he struggled to pronounce the name of Aung San Suu Kyi, the most prominent human rights activist in the world.
    The Associated Press reports:

As Obama stood next to the world’s most recognized democracy icon, he mispronounced her name repeatedly.

Ever gracious, Suu Kyi did not correct her American guest for calling her Aung YAN Suu Kyi multiple times during his statement to reporters after their meeting.

Proper pronunciation for the Nobel laureate’s name is Ahng Sahn Soo Chee.
    .
Obama also “botched” his greeting of Burma’s new president.
    According to the AP:

The meeting came after Obama met with Myanmar’s reformist new President Thein Sein – a name he botched.

As the two addressed the media, Obama called his counterpart “President Sein,” an awkward, slightly affectionate reference that would make most Burmese cringe.

Also, more serious, Obama used the Burmese regime’s preferred word “Myanmar”, to describe Burma, which is not the term officially used by the US government, or by Burma’s opposition activists.

That last is not just a gaffe. It’s more like a diplomatic insult to those risking their lives for democracy in Burma.
This isn’t the first time Obama has thrown democracy supporters under the bus. Remember when recognizing the rigged election of Iranian President Ahmadinejad that he remained quiet while the theocratic thugs murdered protestors in the street. That’s one “gaffe” President Bush would never have made.
