How does a storm supress votes? Last election the weather was nasty and we waited in line to vote for almost an hour.

Total non-sequitur there Steve. Senseless, just like blind liberals, and blind conservatives at that matter.

Thank you, Keith. Well and truthfully said.

I was waiting for a televangelist to declare it God’s punishment for the East Cost for their sinful ways.

Come to think of it, you’re right! Where IS crazy Pat Robertson, anyway?

A play on the Democrats’ line when hurricane Isaac threatened the Republican Convention.
Remember how they said, "It’s God’s will’ and “God is on our side” ?

The problem is that when Democrats say it, it is obviously meant as a joke, a response to when televangelists and Republicans have made similar claims; the further problem is that when Republicans and televangelists say it, it is obviously not meant as a joke.

Pat Robertson hasn’t weighed in yet, as far as I can tell, but John McTernan seems to have the crazy covered.
“As I said, the Holy God of Israel is systematically destroying America right before our eyes.
Just last August, Hurricane Isaac hit New Orleans seven years later, on the exact day of Hurricane Katrina. Both hit during the week of the homosexual event called Southern Decadence in New Orleans!
Hurricane Sandy is hitting 21 years to the day of the Perfect Storm of October 30, 1991. I write about this in my book as America Has Done to Israel. This was the day that President George Bush Sr. initiated the Madrid Peace Process to divide the land of Israel, including Jerusalem. America has been under God’s judgment since this event. Both of these hurricanes were cause by freakish weather patterns that came together to create
Twenty-one years breaks down to 7 × 3, which is a significant number with God. Three is perfection as the Godhead is three in one while seven is perfection.
It appears that God gave America 21 years to repent of interfering with His prophetic plan for Israel; however, it has gotten worse under all the presidents and especially Obama. Obama is 100 percent behind the Muslim Brotherhood which has vowed to destroy Israel and take Jerusalem. Both candidates are pro-homosexual and are behind the homosexual agenda. America is under political judgment and the church does not know it!"
Etc., etc.

Weather has affected voter turnout in the past, disproportionately so for the poor. If you are operating on a slim margin, adding even a bit of time and expense can push something from the “do-able” category into the “can’t make it” category, and that includes when public transportation is affected.

No, Dems can dish out “jokes,” but they can’t take any.

Wow, you’re right! This whack job is doing a heck of a job taking up the lunatic slack!
With a nut case like this running around, we don’t need crazy Pat, or any of the other frauds who call themselves “Men of God” anymore!
Well, if nothing else, they are always good for a laugh!

Not all Christians are crazy, but I always find it a bit disconcerting how many crazies glom onto the hard-core Christianity.

The cartoon refers to the whirlpool of Republican voter supression. 22 million, mostly Dems have been removed from voter roles over the last two years. The repubs are dedicated to steal the election.
