Even a lot of Republican candidates say “kids” deserve school and health care protection,as they didn’t violate the law, their parents did. However, the 14th was intended to cover ex-slaves and “renovate” southerners who split the union, not thinking of today’s problem.

I question the “anchor baby” thing too, but then when considering how Europeans got here, and that not all “anchors” are cast from Mexico- folks might want to look carefully at how the “problem” is resolved.

“If I had drawn something similar to this the Hate Brigade would be out in full force.”

    You can draw?

This toon is more dog whistles for the right.

“Pssst! Hey, you see all those brown people there? Look at all those kids they are having. Isn’t that a problem?”

I knew it would get crazy in an election year, but not this crazy!

It is amazing what you can do with hate & anger – you can get people to go after babies and children!

Has the GOP no morals? Why are they letting these people into their tent?

If the GOP gets control in Novermber can you even begin to imagine how bad things will be for the next two year?

If someone could explain please… I don’t see how determination of a child’s citizenship is an abuse or injury to the child. There are both religious and non religious posters here but we all share a sense of right and wrong. From this humanitarian view I can see no difference between a child born on one side of a border and a child born on the other side. If we lavish great riches to the child born on the north are we not causing harm and injury to the one born on the south? They may literally be separated only by a few feet and a man-made line. Why should the simple act of drawing a line warrant that one child’s parent receive free hospital care while the other child’s parents must pay? Why should one parent receive free prenatal care, free medications, classes in child rearing, car seats and even diapers while the other parent must pay? Why should one child then be eligible for free healthcare, wellness visits, education, food stamps and even more while the other child has nothing? I cannot reconcile the arbitrary placement of a line on humanitarian grounds of handing out keys to the national treasure. Perhaps we could pass a law that requires each and every embassy throughout the world to a have a fully functioning maternity ward to provide citizenship and the key to the national treasure to as many babies as possible. Logistically I see a problem here. The national treasury would quickly be gone and not just for the would-be citizen babies born to foreigners but for those babies born to American citizens. So if someone could explain that if on the humanitarian level the placement of an arbitrary man-made line is sufficient to define citizen babies versus non-citizen babies then how can a clear definition of the “meaning” and power of that arbitrary line be regarded as some how evil?

Some people will make a baby thinking of attacking the US in twenty years, and get here just to give birth, all so he can have american citizenship so it will be easier fo him to attack us.

Al Quaeda has succeeded. It scared the american people into stupidity. And the GOP is farming that stupidity to get votes.

What parent gives birth to a child so he can kill himself?

I know, I know, those people are not supposed to think about anything other than killing us.

Occasionnally, you’ll see on tv a topo about an Iraqui mom so glad that her child is now a “martyr”, but don’t forget who it serves; the fanatics who get a good recruitment video and tv ratings.
