Fox News, whose combined audience exceeds fully half the others, was conspiculously absent.

Only a very stupid populace could fail to see they’re being manipulated like puppets when their phearless leader refuses to appear on a major news network. The ONLY network which doesn’t mindlesly lap up his words like dogs lapping up their own vomit.

This is IDENTICAL to how Hugo Chavez appears on all Venezuala’s state-run media outlets, ignoring the lone free speeech network which he hasn;t quite finished putting off the air yet.

yeb this is a clear case of why we need the “fairness doctrine” yeb, fox needs to fall in line with the rest of them that get their “news” on white house stationary.

Fairness doctrine wouldn’t be bad, but then the Democrats would have to expose their true motive by deciding whether to apply it to all media types, or only applying it to the radio. I have such a freakin’ hunch I know which one they want.

And I’d so laugh when Rush Limbaugh calls CNN demanding equal time! LOL!

And what, aside from fighting the wrong war in the wrong place against the wrong enemy and killing more than 3000 more Americans (and many time that number of innocent civilians), did the Shrub do to “deal with it”?

scottfreitas: claiming that FAUX News is unbiased and that Obama is afraid to appear on it may be the best joke told all year.

Obama isn’t on FOX Pravda because they’re afraid to let him be.

Landshark ; We all remember 9/11. Less than 3,000 people were murdered and they were multinationals not just U.S. citizens. Now the same people who promoted ,”9/11, Fight terrorism! Invade Iraq!” are on the House floor saying, “Get out of Afghanistan! There is no oil there.” -Actually heard on the floor of the House this past week. -

If the past administration had concentrated on eliminating Al-Qaeda instead of avenging “Daddy Bush” in Iraq, we wouldn’t have the problem of trying to clean up the mess in Afghanistan. Now the call is to let the terrorists have their training ground and poppy fields back. Let’s finish the job where it matters.

In the liberal community the democrats can lie, cheat, steal, kill, destroy and do whatever they want.

If a conservative calls it out, they are bearing false witness.

Then the liberals with their favorite 10 verse Charlie’s will try to use their limited or no knowledge of the bible against the conservatives.

The conservatives have jobs, pay taxes and want the best for the country without the government mandating everything.

The liberals want everything for free provided by the government. A large percentage of them do not work so in the end the conservatives will be paying for it and their lifestyle.

  16. Justice22

Justice22 said, about 1 month ago

Striper, Have you renounced the Socialist programs that you so decry? (Social Security and Medicare among others) For your information, Liberals do the same things as Conservatives and they hate to see their tax moneys used to subsidize oil companies, land barons, banks and the like. Look at the amount of revenue collected from the lower income taxpayers compared to the top one percent who control about 95% of our resources. Where does this money go? Of course, to the top one percent and other countries to pay interest on our National debt.

The Conservatives who are running the Republican party use poor people who are mostly uneducated to do their dirty work with statements like; “You don’t want the government telling you which doctor you can see, do you?” “The Democrats will take your guns away from you!”

    Wake Up!

    Correction!!!!!!!!!!!!

    From what I have seen:
All the poor neighborhoods that I have been in are mostly democrat. From the hood, working poor and blue color neighborhoods. All I viewed was Obama and democrat candidate signs.

As far as guns in the hood only the gangsters have them. The rest have felony convictions or they are career welfare participants. They are constantly drunk or high on drugs. They have either pawned off or do not want guns due to they are never home and do not want to go to jail (or return to jail) if their kids get hurt or kill someone with them.

landshark, others addressed your post and I agree with the thrust of their comments. 9/11 was a watershed event for the US, for good reason. But what else did Bush pay attention to besides Iraq and creating a bloated Homeland Security Dept.?

The economy fell apart under his watch, and assurances that the economy was sound continued right up until the meltdown of Bear Stearns in March 2008 and beyond.

Other than his fortunately unsuccessful attempt to privatize Social Security and turn the funds over to Wall St. to “invest” for retirees (yeah, sure!), Bush paid little attention to domestic matters.

All Presidents must handle many layers of many different issues and Bush just didn’t have the interest.

  20. striper77

striper77 said, about 1 month ago

The last paragraph is where most of the gun problems come from. Gangsters and career welfare participants.
This is also the major democrat voting block so they get a free pass.

Does it occur to anyone that the guy “watching big brother” looks a little, well, odd, watching Obama all over the place? Maybe odder than Benson’s portrayal of a tea partyer.

I understand Obama gave a heck of a speech today at the UN, with lots of references to the past sins of the US. How about he mention some of the past sins of other countries too? He could even do that and then say, So we’re all learning together… but no, just rag on his own country. Pathetic.

Some of our past mistakes almost even look good, when compared to some countries’ histories.

Throwing rocks in a glass house there jester? There is a big difference in “covering” what is going on and what the alphabet news outlets did. 1st it was “a small minority” then when that did not fly we move on to this strip in that “oh my gosh look at all the nut jobs”

To cover it they would have put on the 90% of the people that were there that were just ticked off over the size and scoop the government wants to take over. But no they “cover” everything but the issues at hand.

Go easy on the welfare comments. If you are married and file a joint tax return, you are on welfare because my taxes, and those of other single workers, are being used to subsidize your parasitic lifestyle. If you have children and claim that deduction, then I am required to help support your nasty little snot suckers because you are too irresponsible to consider the consequences before you engage in unprotected sex. Stop rutting like an animal and carry your share of the tax burden!

I grudgingly concede that it is in America’s best interest if everyone helps educate the children that already exist. However, given that most of the world’s problems are rooted in over population, it is sheer madness to continue paying people to make more babies! Any government assistance, whether you call it welfare or a tax deduction, should be contingent on being sterilized. I would not object to taxes being used to pay for the procedure

  31. striper77

striper77 said, about 1 month ago

You just barley hit the iceberg on taxes. People whom are married get to do a joint return and claim their kids for the IRS. But, they also have to pay state taxes, grocery taxes, property taxes, auto tags, license, safety inspections, social security taxes, Medicare taxes the list goes on and on.

I personally have paid into the IRS, paid quarterly taxes and I have only gotten back some of the money I paid into the IRS.
When I was buying and selling distressed homes I even got audited by the IRS. I brought down the information they requested and had to pay nothing. I may of taught them how the process works.

The people you are talking about works a month or two a year at a minimum wage job until they get fired. They live of welfare the entire year. They may earn $1000 dollars. They then go and have their taxes done by an outfit that pays them the money now. Their IRS refund is about $7,500. You add that to their free housing, food stamps, welfare checks, unemployment, pending law suites, state paid insurance for their kids, garnished child support by the state for their kids and anything else the government gives for free. They may actually be getting $25K to 30K to do nothing.

  33. Vasmosn

Vasmosn said, about 1 month ago

Actually it has been shown that Joe Wilson was very much incorrect. He probably doesn’t even understand the definition of the term “lie” as many people don’t. To mistate something, to say something incorrect while believing it to be true is not lying. You only lie when you KNOW what you’re saying isn’t true. Like the people talking about death panels and internment camps and such. Those are lies. Even if Obama had been wrong, he wasn’t lying. And it turns out, he wasn’t even wrong.

I have friends and family who proudly serve in our armed forces. Policy debate is valid and necessary – but persisting in the hysterical and hyperbolic demonization of our duly-elected CIC, while those forces are fighting ostensibly for a system you decry as perverted and invalid, only serves to compromise their morale and mission.

It has been PROVEN that the bill of which he spoke had no provisions for illegals to participate. Not only that, it specifically forbid them from participating. Now, if you want to argue that it didn’t go far enought, that’s one thing but to say that he lied, you’re just being obstinate and lying yourself

Again Stripper you want to get rid of all the safety nets because you don’t want some “gangsters” to smoke crack in government housing that you pay taxes on?

Then lets get rid of Medicaid and Medicare because that gangster will get old because he does nothing around the house your taxes pay for. Let’s also get rid of Social Security because there were times that thug worked some time in his life so he paid into the system.

Let’s also NOT pave his roads so he won’t be able to get away from the police, give him a longer prison term so he can still live off your dime, and the next time he gets out he’ll be much stronger and smarter so he can come across an illegal firearm and take your @ss out for messing up his scheme.

I realize this is a day late but just wanted to dispell one myth–that blacks/African Americans or as Stripper77 puts it, “gangsters in the hood” (meaning afro americans/minorities) are the main welfare recipients…

“Myth: Most Welfare Recipients Are African American Women

Fact: Most Welfare Recipients Are Children-Most Women on Welfare Are White

Children, not women, are the largest group of people receiving public assistance. Less than 5 million of the 14 million public assistance recipients are adults, and 90 percent of those adults are women (U.S. Bureau of Census, 1995). The majority of the recipients are White (38 percent), followed by 37 percent African Americans, and 25 percent other minority groups (Latinos, Native Americans, and Asian Americans) (McLaughlin, 1997). However, African Americans are disproportionately represented on public assistance because they are only 12 percent of the population (O’Hare, Pollard, Mann, & Kent, 1991).”
