IMHO, Amanutjob’s government is weaker now because he lost his legitimacy. He can’t sell war to his people like he used to.
Who said the Cairo adress was useless?

Is he talking about US?

CF - I’m not so sure this has done anything to his ability to wield power, as power is given to him by the Supreme leader, not the people. I’m also certain that the Cairo address had nothing to do with the events in Iran, except possibly lessening Iran’s ability to hold up the US as a scapegoat to some extent.

He learned his lessons from Washington 2004, Chicago every year, Philadelphia every year and Minnesota 2008. He just hired ACORN and was guaranteed a win. The end justifies the means.

Tricky Pickle; IMHO, The Cairo (Obama’s way of dealing with the middle East) addres may have released some pressure off Iranians and muslims in general, they have no war with the US to fear anymore. Therefore, they can afford to criticize their dictators, since it’s not either them or the “Great Satan”, as Amanutjob calls it.
An external threat makes people support their leader, no matter how crazy he is. Remember US right after 9/11. Lower the external threat and people see their dictator for what he is.

Iran’s now trying to blame the British diplomats, who have apparently pulled off an amazing feat of sneakiness by getting all the common people of Iran to rise up. Impressive. Guess he decided the Great Satan didn’t do it anymore.
