I think Letterman will be around longer than Palin. She keeps pushing her own self destruct button.

She doesn’t know how to stop. Letterman apologized, and then SHE went to town so ludicrously that people have swung back to Letterman’s side - despite a totally tasteless “joke” on his part.

First she avoids the press and now you can’t get her away from a mike… and folks are tiring of her! Lord, if she can’t take a joke from a comedian how would she would handle being vice president??

MotiveMagus: you’re right, Benson’s mis-called this. Every time Palin displays her lack of statesmanship, she gets pwned by her critics and loses status nationwide.

Wow … Dale, the joke wasn’t about her, it was about her 14 year old daughter. Like Obama said, the family is off limits. If someone said something nasty about Sasha, and Obama fired back (as he should) no one would beat him up over it.

You are all jumping all over her because she is Palin. That is flat out wrong.

“Dale, the joke wasn’t about her, it was about her 14 year old daughter.”

    No, it wasn’t.

“Like Obama said, the family is off limits.”

…if you don’t put them into the spotlight as Palin did.

“If someone said something nasty about Sasha, and Obama fired back (as he should) no one would beat him up over it. ”

    Wow. Apples to oranges much?

“You are all jumping all over her because she is Palin. That is flat out wrong.”

    No. That’s not the reason.

There was a time when someone would make such a blatantly crude and tasteless remark about a woman or daughter and the father would make the perpetrator a nice knuckle sandwich for lunch.

Too bad those days are gone. Some people might learn a little manners if they knew they would have to defend whatever spewed out of their nasty mouths.

I’m with you IrishEDDie OHara. And any thing anyone says about a republican on the news these days, is going to be defended by this tasteless bunch of liberals on this comic site.

Missing the point, guys. I said, and I quote “a totally tasteless “joke” on his part.”

And where was your outrage when Rush and McCain went after Chelsea?

Watchout Steve, Ms. Palin is going to demand you apologize to ehr for amking a joke about her too.

Dale, How will she handle being Presient? She didn’t have a Problem with SNL Lampooning her time and time again. She didn’t have a problem with the Skit SNL Doid about her with Amy Polher doing the Rap Ms. Palin declined to do but gave Amy her Blessing to do so. Why the Sudden Change? Ms. Palin is a Big Cry Baby!

Motive – I agree with you. I have almost stopped completely listening to Rush because he is so tasteless. He needs to understand that insulting people is not the same as making points on a well thought out argument. He is just a windy blowhard to me, and at one time, I loved the guy and wouldn’t miss an episode of his little fantasy land.

Palin is the biggest Joke of the century. She was the best thing to happen to dems last fall.
