It occurs to me that the climate has been changing from day one. It just took Al.G to make a career of it, courtesy of many fools.
mytinytown said, 9 months ago
PAJ
I agree. Which it has been changing since day 1, 6,000 years ago.
danielsangeo said, 9 months ago
Yes, it’s been changing for eons. It’s just changing MORE now than it has ever done in the past.
A question for every denier:
If we release more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere while reducing the number of greenhouse gas consuming substances (plants), what happens?
It’s a simple question, but I’ve never gotten answer from any denier.

tiney, trouble is a lot of the change is radical and triggered by man. There’s more to the world than your tiney town in a corner of Michigan. “6,000 years ago”, that says it all.

“deniers” know better then that. It is a political scam. I have pointed out that some of these “deniers” study weather and weather patterns and say it is bogus. Some even say global warming is not occurring and give several good reasons why we do not answer your loaded question. While other prove that there could be a global temp that is rising, but not from “greenhouse gases”. We do not answer loaded questions that don’t prove anything.

mtt - you’re reading the wrong articles. The overwhelming majority of scientists – climate scientists, not petrochemical industry scientists – agree that (1) there is significant global climate change occurring, (2) the Earth is warming significantly, (3) human efforts have contributed meaningfully to this trend. Previously I posted a link to one site Scientific American recommended - www.realclimate.org, written by actual, working climate scientists. It’s heavy going in spots, but it’s worth it.
And, guys, the Earth has had 7 of the eight warmest years on record in the past eight years. Antarctic ice is falling off in sheets. The Arctic ice is dropping even faster. Whether it is “natural” climate change or not, doesn’t mean we don’t have to worry about it! Every major city in the US save Atlanta is built on water!

Any of you “skeptics” know why the USA is the only industrialized country in which anthropogenic climate change is controversial? Two reasons: (1) We’re sitting behind a smoke screen erected by the fossil fuel industry and perpetuated by their lackeys in the US government. (2) Americans are woefully undereducated in science and lack critical thinking skills.

Duh… gee, Perfesser Bleen I don’t get how them too things cud meen that peepl dont unnerstand stuff.

tiney, loaded or something you’re fearful of?
danielsangeo said, 9 months ago
How is it a loaded question?
danielsangeo said, 9 months ago
And there’s one other challenge to deniers. Talk about the subject WITHOUT mentioning Al Gore.
They can’t do it.

Climate goes in 70 year cycles. Hottest years on record were in the 1920’s. Parts of arctic ice shelf are growing . Greenland is called “Greenland” because its climate used to be warmer. Fix pollution backed up with facts or shut up and Go to China and India and stop the real producers of pollution and poverty conditions exacerbated by pollution.
Fairportfan said, 9 months ago
Umm, pup - seven of the hottest years ever have been since Boy George was appointed by the Supreme Court, after Al Gore won the election.
