These must be the end times. The Saints are 3-0 and Carl Moore created a funny comic strip!

Apparently, Mr. Moore hasn’t seen what Disney’s come out with lately. There’s nothing sweet, syrupy or fluffy about it.
I’ve seen more sexual innuendo, bathroom humor and teenage rebellion coming out of Disney in the past 15 years than I really care to think about.
And without Mr. Cook there to set the bar at least a little higher, I’m afraid it’s only going to get worse.

The times are what people made them and they aren’t always for the better.

Dr. Phil’s last comment is directed at bone headed liberals everywhere.

The Disney Corporation owns a LOT of companies. And seriously - what about Pirates of the Caribbean? Sky High? Kingdom Hearts? Battles and blasting galore!
And Hector - Dr. Phil’s last comment was just a really bad pun.

Carl certainly uses Dr Phil alot in his cartoons - suppose there’s something Freudian about it. Either that or Carl watches too much daytime tv.

L.I.T., you’re only 25! Naturally, you’ve noticed sexual innuendo for the last–more like ten–years. There was plenty of innuendo in the early cartoons, too.

Slow day apparently. Dr. Phils a censored.

Has anyone heard about the VeriChip?

mrob - yeah - they’ve been around for awhile. Took a look at the stock (CHIP - Nasdaq) & they’re the same one’s I heard about while living in FLA.

Did they “creep” U out with their SubQ tracking? It’s a technology used to keep medical records & with a special scanner - it can be used in ER’s when U may not be able to give a verbal medical history.
I suppose there could be more “devious” uses - those are the ones that creep me out. It’s a BRAVE NEW WORLD out there that Technology can be used for EVIL…

Did someone say Freudian ?
Disney ?

Jehosaphat, I heard about them while on Youtube. They make me paranoid. I dont want to be tracked by the government. I’m against them for religious reasons, but only if they arent completely voluntary.

DavidDow, thanks for trying, but I’m 22.
And there was ALWAYS innuendo, but not in the quantity and severity it’s in today.

L.I.T.
Off course there always was innuendo. 35 years ago, with cartoons like “the Flintstones” it was the image that the man should bring in the money. “The Jetsons” likewise. So nowadays the kids look at more graphic things like “totaly spies”.
22, so just 1 year older than my youngest. My kids loved to see Disney cartoons. And so did I, being ‘forced’to get out of bed at 06.00 on Sunday, because they wanted to watch TV. Yes, they never were unsupervised, and we only looked at a special kids channel.
But it is not the cartoons i am worried about, its the soap series like friends/s and the city/ Oprah and dr. Phil, I get the shivers.the first 2 because they are so totaly US an absolutely not funny the latter 2 beacuse all the broadcast are Morality boosts, “believe or not believe”. If you listen all will be well, otherwise you end up in ……….. Getverderrie, gatsiejakkiebah (non translatable, but I think it would be something like eating bull dong)
you could just as easy tune in to an old fashioned 19th century protestant preacher. you would get exactly the same message.
And of course lets not forget the cattle that’s sitting in, pretending to be audience. mow at the signal, as the light goes off, sh@t up…………………
