Katie Couric needs something to get her out of the ratings doldrums where she has languished for how many years now?
Did hiring her pay off for CBS? Not by a longshot.

The networks are great for telling you everything… that they want you to know.

I decided to have the cable TV shut off months ago.
The News was about all I was interested in, and real news is nearly impossible to find on TV anymore.

Sarah working for CBS? In their puny-ratings dreams!
Well said sherpafree.
Doctor Toon, where did you look for “real” news? Must have been on NBC or MSNBC?

But Sarah Palin reads lots of magazines. Said so herself. She be great sitting next to Katie Couric, the learned professor of the nightly news.

Doc?! You mean SNL’s Weekend Update isn’t real news?! Sufferin’ succotash…I’ve been duped!!!

That would work fine. Television news is already conservative. Sarah Palin would fit nicely. In addition, you don’t need to know anything to read the news.
Palin even has a degree in “communications”. She acquired it over the course of her five years at four different schools, right before she found herself unmarried & pregnant & rushed off to elope with Todd.

But of course! Since teevee news has long ago degraded from substance to sensationalism.

But just think of the jello wrestling possibilities!

David, how is tv news conservative, anything Obama does is good, and anything a republican does is bad.
This strips idea wouldnt work, because no one would listen.
