    I didn’t know Mr. Emanuel was an acupuncturist! Otherwise predictable & BORING!

    For your entertainment & dedicated to yesterday’s discussion:

    Via YouTube: Singing for Change - “One Love”

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xjPODksI08&feature=channel_page

    First heard this on a local public radio station - WoW. Available as a CD & DVD which comes in the same package - makes it even more special watching performers around the world perform in their own countries.

    Playing for Change - there’s a scene in one of the videos of a man holding his child and placing $$ in his music case. Good play on words - Ga’ Nite Folks.

    OOOOOOOOOoooohhhhh ….

    Now I get the gag.

    Rahm Emanuel is sticking pins in his opponents because he’s got a personal axe to grind.

    This one’s bad. Even for Carl Moore. First, he has to establish an absurd scenario, then he has to have his principle act absurdly in that situation.

    Talk about going too far for a joke.

    And not even a good joke at that.

    Did Emanuel ever pay those taxes?

    There is little that can be more cleansing for the soul while at the same time provide waves of mirth and jocularity among friends and foes alike as flatulence.

    Rahm certainly is not Torah observant, to his future demise, do doubt.

    And it’s Michael Savage and Glenn Beck they really want to silence.

    Hannity, Limbaigh, etc. are still in the politicians corner, just on the ‘opposite’ side of the ring.

    @EMET:

    Yeah, I’m surprised he forgot the Savage doll! The Savage Nation–banned in Britain–gets no respect.

    @ANandy:

    “Voodoo economics”…great recall. The quote is attributed to George H.W. Bush, but he denied for years ever having said it.

    The Dems picked up on it, though…and it became their mantra.

    You’d be hard-pressed trying to find the exact quote on the Internet beyond the reference that it was made by the elder Bush when he campaigned against Reagan in 1980.

    @EMET:

    eh, Calgary Flames home jersey…the Flames may have the best defensive trio since the 2007 Ducks.

    I post the Superman logo because Jor-El was Kal-El’s (Superman’s) father.

    The “S” symbol was the family crest of the House of El on Superman’s home planet of Krypton.

    Only one commenter has ever picked up on that bit of DC comics history.

    JFri asked if I was indestructible. Someone else corrected him and said, “No, that would be Kal-El.”

    This is great. It’s not as tense today.

    Nice to take a break.

    By the way, yesterday my computer’s Avast software aborted five Trojan attacks while on this site.

    I’ve had this problem for several weeks, and only while visiting Gocomics.

    UCLICK really needs to get serious and investigate this.

    They must have a vulnerability somewhere.

    The cartoon is funny… and appropriate. The White House libs are doing all they can to demonize and caricature the effective spokesman of the right.

    It especially amazes me that the liberal establishment takes such pains to caricature Dick Cheney. The guy is intelligent, articulate, effective and speaks the truth. They can’t stand it whenever he speaks out because he always hits home with his criticisms and they know it.

    Some interesting headlines today:

    Levi Johnston said Palin resigned for the money.

    Prince Charles said the world has 96 months to save itself.

    GM emerged from bankruptcy.

    In Rome, Obama said recovery a long way off.

    Oh, and while in Rome, Obama debated abortion with the Pope.

    Oh yeah, Cheney speaks the truth such as not caring if there were no WMD’s found and thousands of people getting killed for his mistake. Oooops. A real stand up guy who had “better things to do” than serve in Vietnam. Typical.

    LIBERAL EUGENICS? from this coming Sunday’s issue of the New York Times Magazine, Justice Ginsburg sees fit to offer her views on a range of matters, including:

    Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion. Which some people felt would risk coercing women into having abortions when they didn’t really want them. But when the court decided McRae, the case came out the other way. And then I realized that my perception of it had been altogether wrong.

    You do realize that “Voodoo dolls” are a white man invention. Voodoo priests do not use Voodoo dolls. Voodoo is a christian religion. Do your homework!

    Yukoneric, you atheist, Christian hating libs always show your ignorance. Voodoo came about in places like Haiti, from African slaves mixing their pagan beliefs with Catholicism. They mixed some Christianity into it, but they were not white and it’s not Christianity.

    GJ Jehosaphat, news magazines often release previews of up coming articles, such as this one, because, especially if it’s controversial, it creates buzz and helps sell more issues. This is a common practice and I’m sorry you’re too ignorant to realize that. What a loser.
