The CIA lies to everyone. That dick cheneys CIA lied to the Speaker of the House with handpicked intell. (handpicked by that dick cheney) to implement the pnac doctrine is well proven.

The CIA lied? Dick Cheney lied? Your proof? And before you
come up with “proof”, ask yourself just exactly what is a lie?
What does Ensign & Sanford have to do with today’s comic?
Or do you just wanna make a blast just to hear yourself roar?

Both sides have problems. Did Sanford hurt the governorship. Then again, did the Speaker of the \House lie to not only Congress, but to the President, and the American people on an important international subject? Which is bigger? A Latina girlfriend or accusing the CIA of perjury.

The perspective on this cartoon is horrendous … and I don’t mean the political leanings. I mean the visual art.

Although I disagree most of the time with the liberals in discussion groups many certainly come well endowed with intelligence for the most part. How the Democrats could elect as their leaders two people with such limited intellects is shocking to me.
I may never agree with Barney Franks but he is brilliant and very sharp. Ditto Sen Feinstein. Instead we get Pelosi and Reid. What disappointments. The price we pay for the seniority system.

I will not bother to congratulate your country again for a fine performance for anything if that is how it is received.”
Keep congratulating. I was and still am disappointed.
But they did beat Spain. 2nd place is better. Next time, Next time.
I like Soccer Football better than American Football
My team is the Columbus Crew. MLS.

Satipera, thanks, what America did was unbelievable, so i’ll take 2nd. Although i vastly prefer the NFL and Premier league, I do like the MLS, FC Dallas, my premier leage team is Arsenal by the way. To essentially come back from the dead like that, and beat Spain, the best team in the world, thats awesome.

thanks for the compliment but we call it Soccer over here. I have to admit I am surprised. We have so many pro-sports in America it is hard for a new one to develope talent.

Republican right wing nuts are just breathing a sigh of relief that Sanford was caught with another woman, not caught rubbing his foot up against another man’s or texting young boys.

A soccer videogame when I was a kid, yeah, I saw that, Man U had too many missed opportunities, and Barcelona took advantage. It was a good match though.

Parson, I must disagree, I am shaking my head that Sanford would waste taxpayer dollars like that, I don’t care who he is cheating on his wife with, that is for his family to deal with.
Thanks for the congrats Satipera, although I don’t watch too much soccer, I do enjoy watching America do well, so that was pretty cool.

Re: CIA during the early Bush II’s presidency (Bush I used to be CIA director during Ford’s partial term).
Since there was an information overload during and after the 9/11 terrorist attack, I went googling for more detailed information. Found:
http://www.historycommons.org/context.jsp?item=a091501matrixplan
See the Late December 2001 post:
“In late November 2001, State Department officials write a paper suggesting that the US has an opportunity to work with Iran to fight al-Qaeda. The CIA seconds the idea, and is willing to exchange information and coordinate border sweeps with Iran. However, neoconservatives led by Vice President Dick Cheney and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld argue that the US cannot engage with Iran and other officially declared state sponsors of terrorism. In late December 2001, at a meeting of deputy cabinet officials, it is decided that the US will accept tactical information about terrorists from countries on the state sponsors list but offer nothing in return. This policy is called the “Hadley Rules” after Deputy National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley, who chairs the meeting. One month later, President Bush publicly lists Iran as part of an “Axis of Evil,” greatly reducing Iran’s cooperation regarding al-Qaeda.”

farleftside - ok, I’ve been mulling over:
“Zzzzzzzzzzzz-mi-mi-mi-mi-mi-mi”…
I’m guessing The 3 Stooges - They’re “sounds” Curly Joe makes when he’s alseep. I loved them when I was young - almost missed the school bus once watching the show. Haven’t seen the show in 40 some years.
M i close?

Speaker Pelosi will never recover from the diminishment of her prestige due to the CIA-lied-to-me fiasco. She’s small and getting smaller with each passing controversial issue she faces. And it’s no wonder - she’s a dimwit fast approaching ding-a-ling status.
