And FarLeftSide confirms the theme of today’s strip. “Take me, Obama, I’m yours!”

In the olden days this was called a “cult of personality” ala Stalin or Mao. Now it seems mostly to be operating in North Korea, Venezuela, and the U.S. Sure he is intelligent and articulate. And a socialist who will leave the U.S. damaged for years.

I am amazed at those who still worship their dear fuhrer, little georgie even when he has been exposed as a a lying murderous thief and a traitor to the oath of office he took. History will record the last eight years as either the reason for the demise of the country or as a malignancy that was removed from the office of the president, allowing the patient to recover.

I bet I missed alot around here.
Been down due to HDD failure, extremely retarded (must be liberals) Dell INDIA tech support. Then video issues. I despise Dell anymore.
Hey, is Obama planning on making an executive action to keep ALL USA tech support in the USA? I hate trying to explain things to someone that I can not understand.

And as WWH demonstrates, the reverse side of the Love-Obama coin is “Bush Derangement Syndrome”.

Bush was an embarrassment to the U.S. in many ways, but my observation is that the Left most hated him for the few things he did (or tried to do) right, like love and defend America.

My standard for evaluating a President is how closely he implements the American principle of limited government in defense of inalienable rights. The last president I know of that came close was Calvin Coolidge (tho I did rather like Gerald Ford because he never ran for President or Vice-President and was not a power-luster like most of them).

I would agree with you, but would not go so far as to admit Bush was any way an embarrassment.

Yes you liberals are far more worried about how much the rest of the world likes us over our own liberties and our safety.

    Ouch! Satipera won’t respond.
Melville was a chair-shiner who never saw war, like StephenCrane, right? Although I’m not saying one has to be a vet to have an opinion. I think Crane did an excellent job representing the self-serving of cowardice and its emotion, and the Civil War era itself.

Melville was in his 40’s when the Civil War was fought. He spent his youth as a sailor exploring the world. Most of his books were written from experiance. Not exactly chair shiner, but no, not military either.

Crane was born in 1871, six years after the war ended. He wasnt military either, but did serve as a war correspondent in Cuba. Not a chair shiner either. Since he died in 1900 we’ll never know what he’d have done in WWI. “The Red Badge of Courage” described battle in the Civil War so accurarely that many veterans who had been there refused to believe that he had written it. The book has nothing to do with self serving cowardice. It tells how a young man learns to deal with the fear naturally found on the battlefield. At the end of the book he overcomes his fear and is recognized for bravery.

So what do her being a female and Hispanic have to do with it?
    You liberals are the racists.
Look back at Clinton’s admin, how was that? Now Bush had it all Hispanic, male, female, black. It did not matter there.
The issue with this psycho is how horrible she is as a judge. But what would we expect from someone Obama pulled out of the bleeep on his backside.

our new president’s superior intelligence and natural charisma seem like some kind of dirty trick. They are so frightened by a man who can run rings around them intellectually that they’re reduced to the most juvenile of attacks.

    lolol
He is only as intelligent as what is written on the teleprompter. The dirty trick was the propping up the done nothing candidate for president. Then using Acorn and such to elect a American idol type who just looks good on the surface.
You have to classify “juvenile” attacks when talking about what this guy has done in the past and how bad he has made our country look? Or how about this soicist marxes way of doing things? Not to mention is attack on the free market!
    lol
and cooch the problem I have with this nomination is the same I have with The Big O.
He is the 1st black man to talk well and look good.. She is the 1 Lationo look at where she came from..
Both what have they done?? In this day in age who the flip cares! male, female or color! I have been over that us vs them mentality since the 70’s

All of you bleeding heart liberals that go out of their way to protect Obama and the Democrat party and demand for no discrimination this article is for you:

Judge Sonia Sotomayor, President Obama’s pick to become the newest Supreme Court justice, is on the record with some controversial remarks about ‘diversity,’ ‘judicial activism’ and female judges vs. male judges.
For example, the New York Times reported that in 2001, at the annual Judge Mario G. Olmos Law and Cultural Diversity Lecture, Sotomayor had this to say:
“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”
“Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences,” she said later, regarding non-white, female judges, “our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging.”
Also, there is a 2005 video of Sotomayor, speaking with potential law clerks, saying that a “court of appeals is where policy is made.”

Imagine if one of Bush’s picks said this about blacks, Mexicans or any race. The liberal and the media would be going nuts.
But I forgot the liberal media, liberals, traitors to America, Muslims, Abortion supporters, Planned Parenthood, United Way, Unions, FCOH club, etc. love Obama

I read these comments and it makes me want to cry. I usually make a few assumptions about the people who post here. They like comics, cool. So do I. They’re probably readers, which makes them, more than likely, intelligent. Or at least educated. People that I would probably enjoy meeting and having a discussion with. So why do so many of you spend so much time and energy putting each other down? This should be a place where we can listen to other opinions without judgement and state our own without fear of ridicule. All of us live in free countries, where differances in opinion, lifestyle and culture are accepted and encouraged.

You all divide yourselves into liberals and conservatives like it’s some kind of game and the team with the most players wins. This is just plain stupid. I didnt like Bush when he was President, but I supported him. He11, he was my Commander in Chief for nearly four years and I swore to follow his orders and the orders of the people he placed over me. tried to listen to him and understand what he was trying to do. Sure, I prefer Obama, but I don’t agree with everything he does. If you want to know the truth I dont think he goes far enough. You want to see socialism? I think he should nationalize the petroleum industry. Folks, the free market and the law of supply and demand don’t work anymore. It’s a myth, get over it. If it did work the Skipper wouldnt be paying $2.65 a gallon. They raise the price of gas because they know we are stupid and will pay it. Jacking the price of an indispensible commodity just to make more money should be a crime. If this makes me a socialist, I’m a socialist. I don’t care what you call me as long as I can buy gas and get to work.

Anyway, the fact is, Bush or Obama, Republican or Democrat, Liberal or Conservative, I don’t trust any of them. I might vote for them, and agree with them from time to time, but trust? Bleep no! But if we’re going to watch the government and try to keep them honest we have to know what we’re talking about. We have to know how our government runs. How the economy works. What really is a socialist. Where to get news you can trust. We’ve got to get our heads out the sand, quit calling each other names and make our politicians do the jobs we hired them to do. And get rid of the ones that don’t. No matter what party. And put the ones in jail that need to be there. We can’t let people who care more about themselves or their political future than they do our nation run the government any more.

    Matthew JB,
I doubt you will read this due to it is from the previous day, however here it is:
Judges are to interpret the law not make the laws. As she stated judges should make the laws.
Then she mentioned an Hispanic women would make better choices than a white male. She gave her reasons why. I believe that is discrimination.
What if a white male stated that white males are better judges than any other race for any reason? They would never make it through the confirmation process, the media would be screaming, NAACP, liberals in general, ACLU, Democrats in office, etc. etc.

However it is fine for an Hispanic to do the exact thing.
That is what is wrong with what she said.
Also, since she was appointed by the most liberal senator in Washington, DC whom is now the President, she will be making laws for the far left side.
These include abortion and partial birth abortion, (People are mentioning torture, imaging what a baby that is 8 months in the womb feels when it is pulled half way out and having its brains sucked out. The baby is jerking and moving like an animal that has been shot but not with a deadly shot. Or through regular abortion when it is pulled apart piece at a time.) But, this is fine for the liberals, pro abortion crowd and all the people that voted for Obama and his supporters.
