    I agree with Dcotor. Earlier, liberals were jumping on Bush because the economy was in the dumps. Now the conservatives are returning the favor by somehow trying to tell that Obama is clueless.

    The truth is that the economy has its own cycles and despite government interventions, will continue to work according to its timetable.

    Now I have not a clue as to how the dratted thing works (neither do the economists, the politicians - least of all). All we can hope for is that the government policies don’t get in the way. It’s almost like providing medicine for common cold - keep the symptoms at bay while nature takes its course. And again, I am very sure that Carl Moore is trying to highlight that there is a world of difference between being the candidate and being the president.

    President Obama has taken a page from that greater leader Alabama coach Nick Satan. When his teams win it is because of his brillance. When they lose, it was because of this or that. Mr. President I implore you to speak with people who actually have had to meet a payroll and run a business. Not “poverty pimps” or labor leaders who’s primary interest is to make sure their lot is secure and oh if it happens to benifits some schlub that is okay as well.

    Did anybody ever imply that economic recovery would be instantaneous? And if Obama straightens out W’s mess by 2012, Americans will owe him a debt of gratitude.

    Carl Moore’s problem is that he employs bizarre fabrications to set up his criticism. It’s pretty much like living in Bizarro World.

    Oh, and nobody at all has suggested that presidential term limits be lifted or that the fairness doctrine should be revisited, but you sure couldn’t tell from the mindless nattering of dittoheads. In formal logic, this is straw man fallacy. And people in Venezuela voted in a more legitimate election recently than residents of Sandusky County Ohio were afforded in the 2004 presidential election.

    The presidential candidate builds his pedestal that he must perch upon precariously during his term in office. His advisers are his only support. The congress and senate has their own agendas.

    I have thought. You have not. Bigots and racist is the same thing and it is clear what you said in this case. It really sound like you are making things up as you go along. I even posted what you said.

    I have read 1984 and Animal Farm both, Orwell made it clear that socialism can still be an authoritarian government. Yes Orwell was a socialist. He made it clear that any form of government could be come authoritarian.

    Just like Hitler taking property and redistributing wealth in the people’s name. By eliminating Jews, and anti-Nazi political activist then giving it to his cronies. That is why it is called National Socialism. Hugo Chavez in Venezuela is doing the same thing today taking property from people who do not tow the line and giving it to others. Chavez is locking people up in jail and giving that property to people who can’t even use those assists. His redistribution of land is a flop. People cannot live on 10 acres of land. Yes 10 acres. Their Sub-existence is terrible.

    My grand father was a farmer. You need 700 acres. 400 if it is real good land with an in demand cash crop. A farmer with enough land can supply most of his own food, sell some for cash, then buy equipment. From buying equipment factories are opened for tractors, movable conveyor belts for taking hand pick crops out of the fields. On the same 10-acre plot that Chavez uses no one can do that. His system has failed in the old Soviet Union, yes they tried that under Lenin., failed all over the world. Those lack of factories mean a lack of jobs.
