BMNOT, I’m so sorry to have offended you with my comment of 12/10/08. I had not realized that you had lost friends and relatives in the Pharisee massacre. My mention of Jesus and compassion was for the person who kept quoting convenient bits of the bible. And I’m not a Christian and Jesus is not my creator. I know that there is a Higher Power out there, but I don’t have the audacity to name it or claim to speak for it, unlike a bunch of almost pre-historic men who may, or may not, have known Jesus. There was not a lot of fact checking going on then. These men put all of their pre-historic bias, prejudice, hatred, anger, opinions and beliefs in the book and some people still believe it relevant. It’s nice that it can bring comfort to some, but to others it brought the Crusades, ‘imminent domain’ and other acts of slaughter. More people have died because of religion than any other cause. Again, sorry for the loss of your Pharisee relatives.

Obama didn’t know how bad things really were, it being high-level, hush-hush, top secret until Bush was forced to fill him in on the truth. Ironically, not long after that Bush admitted that we have been in a recession since last year! As if, 99% of us were not already aware of it. And unemployment is the highest it’s been in 26 years (on last night’s news).

why does one get the impression that carl more gets some sort of gleeful giddiness from this strip? some people just love it when someone else may have difficulties? and…is that satan cheney in the front row?

And I suppose if John McCain had won this election, he would have simply snapped his fingers and we would all be flush with cash again?
Seriously … maybe in 2 years this strip will be relevant, but HE HASN’T EVEN TAKEN OFFICE YET!!

Don’t forget Obama’s other campaign slogan: “Change We Can Believe In”. So know we know what’s changed.

Cacolley - Caught your response on yesterdays page, appreciate the kind words. Better watch out with that flirting, Someguy53 already accused us of playing cyber-snugglebunnies.
He’s just jealous, even the girls on ‘those sites’ turn him down.

Obama did exactly what every other politician does when trying to get elected; he told the people want they wanted to hear. This isn’t a novel concept. If anyone is to blame here, it’s the fools that bought into it and voted based on unrealistic ideals.

Wow, what a novel idea. A politician looking at the available money and deciding NOT to spend more! That’s a change I’m willing to live with (if it really happens).

Thank you again President George W. Bush…. another day of America being protected!
Oh, I get it. It’s satire, right? Please tell me it’s satire.

Yes, Obama hasn’t taken office yet but he and the Dems have a more effective hand on the lever of government now than lame-duck Bush does. Obama is making policy pronouncements almost daily now and his new New Deal is as misguided as FDR’s now-discredited New Deal was and it will have the same consequences - a prolonging of the depression.

I already knew this, that is why I voted against him and his rival.
