    Mr. Trail…clearly you do not understand the meaning of socialism. With the rest of us, you have just suffered through the most socialist period in American history. Never before has the government owned so much of the country. And whose idea was all this socialism…why, George W. Bush.

    Unemployment fell from 25% in 1933 to 14% in 1937. That is quite a success for FDR but the truth has never been important to Carl Moore or conservatives.

    The “New Deal” did not get the U.S. out of the depression. It was World War II. In fact U.C.L.A. did a study and results were that The Depression lasted seven years longer because of the New Deal.

    The moral of this story is that conservatives and liberals have different viewpoints. Mature and rational people can agree to disagree. Marktrail is not one of those. He gives conservatives a bad name. His posts here are meant to inflame the left. In that, and in that only, he does a good job.

    I have to agree with the Libs this time MARKTRAIL…It’s our money to begin with, our country, our government, our tax money, etc…. Pubs had six years to do it right or learn how to do it right but were too greedy and/or intractable to make good choices. Now all we can do is hope and pray your fears don’t come true.
