I stopped pork 12 years ago and red meat 4 years ago… I can tell my health has improved!

Eating as much beef as we do has a massive negative impact on the environment.

It has nothing to do with “Socialism” (the conservative’s catchword for anything he doesn’t like or understand) or with telling you what you can do with your own obese, cholesterol-saturated body. (“You’re thinking I’m one of those wise-ass California vegetarians who is going to tell you that eating a few strips of bacon is bad for your health. I’m not. I say it’s a free country and you should be able to kill yourself at any rate you choose, as long as your cold dead body is not blocking my driveway.” Scott Adams, of Dilbert fame) It has everything to do with the negative environmental impact of mass meat production. This is only one reason that vegetarianism is logical and ethical, and possibly the most important reason, insofar as it effects everyone on the planet, not just the Big Mac-scarfing morons.

If eating that stuff really does effect the earth that much then America would sink the world in 20 minutes.

Without animal protein, the human brain doesn’t function properly and people become less intelligent. This explains why most vegetarians vote Democrat.

McGehee: Vegetarians find other ways of filling their bodys need for protien. Theres more sources than just meat. Plus if they arent Vegan then they can eat cheese which has protien too….

    So think before you speak.

One other point…we are running out of viable land to grow veggies and pasture animals. The ‘factory farms’ are producing more for the demand with less ‘space’. Therefore it becomes more about the treatment and slaughter practices of the animals that feed us. I am not a vegetarian, but I try to avoid eating the ‘grazers’ and eat the carnivores. BUT thats My way! Not a Recomendation!!

have you conservatives even an ounce of humility spread among you. you talk of intelligence, when the standard bearer of your clique has proven himself a complete moron over 8 years…and he eats meat.

Gee, and here I’d long held this theory that one’s idiocy quotient was commensurate to his meat consumption.

Just like I can drive better ‘baked’ than the yo-yo’s with DARE license plates~

Char, what are the carnivores you eat, I’ve tried some and found they do not taste as good as the grazers. Take Care, locutus

America can’t be ruined. Look at how hard conservatives and the right have tried. We still elected Obama. There’s still HOPE!
