Well… For one I doubt that Dave Coverly wanted us to dwell on this but only intended to make fun with halos. For two, Michelangelo’s painting of Genesis on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel had a huge impact in western art and the concept of deity. But this is a cultural concept and for that reason I must disagree with you. The ultimate problem is how to depict “God” in a visual manner. Happily that dilemma is not up to me.
