    With forearms like that, you would think he would have to wear glasses as well. I guess that’s why he is always squinting.

    Royboy is confused by the animated Popeye. Sadly the comic strip Popeye is not as well remembered, except by genuine fans. Popeye rarely ever ate spinach as an emergency measure when losing a fight. He at a steady diet of it, (not always ‘on stage) and he even christened Swee’pea with a bowl of it. But ’Swee’pea’ was not the name he gave the baby- he christened him ‘Schooner,’ and ’Swee’pea’ was a nickname.
    -——————————-
    But Royboy is confused by many things.

    @whiteheron

    Little-known fact:
    Popeye also ate a lot of carrots which is why he didn’t need glasses. The squint was to intimidate Blutto.
