    Rick Kirkman and Brian Crane won this year’s Reuben award for Outstanding Cartoonists of the Year. Kirkman draws Baby Blues and Crane draws Pickles. I’m not sure why Pastis is mentioned in panel 3.

    Nice tribute to the winners! I’m sure Pastis (who was a nominee) loves being referred to as madame.

    Pastis was one of the nominees – Pastis, Kirkman and Crane were the three up for the Reuben award – when Stromoski made this comic he was unsure who the winner (or in this case, winners) were going to be so he showed all three of them. The awards were given out last night.
