A universal language.

Snow and Oswald are, if you will allow me to say so, birds of a feather. ( The Penguin’s name in Batman was Oswald Cobblepot. His brother, “Broadway” Bates, is currently the villian over on the Dick Tracy strip.)

Wait until his pals show up, and they start hanging out on street corners sining do-wop songs in 4 part harmony. Pengies singing on the street corners are the winter version of the first robin of Spring here in Wisconsin.
Clap, clap, clap of flippers slapping together, in 4-4 time
As we stroll along, together,
under stars, twinkling high above,
so in love are we two,
that we don’t know what to do,
so in love,wark, wark, wark
so in love, wark, wark, wark,
etc, etc, until someone chases them off, singing Goodnight Sweetheart as they waddle off into the darkness.

Snow should be an ambassador, being able to quickly see what he has in common with another species like a penguin!

@SCOTTtheBADGER
I’ve lived in Wisconsin most of my life (grew up here, lived elsewhere at times) and I’ve never seen penguins – but those Abominable SnowCows can be a real problem.

Do Wap penguins? Abominable SnowCows? Wisconsin sounds a wondrous strange place.

Looks like Snow has a new friend.

The only way to deal with Abominable SnowCows is to wait ’til they fall asleep, take a running start, and tip them over. However, you do want to steer clear of the dreaded hodag

You copied a penguin drawing off my comic strip! LOL, just kidding, I draw different penguins with clothes.

Rene: True. And Snow is VERY fluent in the language of FISH. :)
SCOTTtheBDGER: Thanks for the Batman trivia. I didn’t know that the Penguin had a brother.
Also, that is quite a funny scene you painted with your exquisite literary skills. I didn’t know that penguins could sing. From the film, Mary Poppins, I learned that penguins can tap dance. I also believe that there is another movie called Happy Feet about dancing penguins (although I’ve never seen this one). I certainly would like to see a Penguin Doo Wop group! I am a fan of Doo Wop music. I like all the classic songs, especially the ones you mentioned.
Snow would DEFINITELY prefer to hear a Penguin musical group ANY day than to hear Winky sing! Christmas is coming up and Winky just can’t help himself when it comes to Christmas Carols. And thanks to your NEW Christmas Wiener Dawg song, he will be in 7th heaven this season! “Wiener dawg lights, wiener dawg lights…” LOL! :) Poor Snow.
Mike: Snow a guru and part time ambassador to Antarctica. A cat’s work is never done. :)
Lady Anne Wehrley: Well, ducks are not the brightest of birds to begin with…
Don: Exactly Snow’s thoughts.
Dry: Very likely indeed. Many lost souls end up at Snow’s doorstep.
Mountaingreenery: Ha! Yes, it certainly does! I hear there are a lot of cheese heads known to wander the city streets too.
Tdog123: If the penguin likes FISH, this friendship won’t last long. Snow doesn’t like someone eating his FISH.
runar: Abominable hodag! EEK! SCOTTtheBADGER better watch out this time of year!
SCOTTtheBADGER: Have you ever seen a hodag? I hope they don’t eat badgers!
Denver Broncos: I didn’t know you drew a penguin strip. Very cool! What’s it called?

I used to have one that lived under my deck. But he moved back to Rhinelander, as he had to help out at his Father’s Abominale SnowCow farm.
Abominal Snow Cows have such a high butterfat content to their milk, that farmers get an extra 10 cents per pound of milk. Milk is bought by dairies by the hundredwieght . This dates from the pre-milk tanker days, when a 5 gallon milk can wieghed 50 pounds. Abominal Snow Cow milk is used primarily by Dean’s and Morning Glory Dairy’s for their super rich TruMoo chocolate milk which, being made with whole milk, is almost like drinking chocolate pudding.Kemp’s, up in The Cities, ( Upper Midwest for Minneapolis/St. Paul, the Twin Cities ), use Snow Cow milk for their own super taste treat, Root Beer Milk, which tastes just like a root beer float, YUM!SCOTTtheBADGER said, 6 months ago
I can’t seem to be able to spell Abominable this morning. Well, I work the 2300-0700 shift Thursday-Monday, so this is late “Friday” for me. Two more hours, and I am off to my bed in my Burrow.
