    I think “Small World” is a very good cartoon. Not to put an insult onto it, it actually is “Fair and Balanced ©®™”…

    Doesn’t make sense to me. Shouldn’t the Hallmark of an open mind be willingness to listen, fairly consider another’s point of view, and even change your own?

    As someone who frequently debates religion?

    Entirely too many people start from the position of “I’m right; anyone who disagrees with me is wrong”.

    Such a default mentality means that the person isn’t actually willing to debate but just wants to preach.
