Briscoe has a point here. There is a thin line between stopping some rubbish (some of which can even incite to violence) and an orwellian control over information.
Sounds like a straw man to me. Nobody says you shouldn’t listen to “unofficial” sources. You shouldn’t, however, listen to one source exclusively, nor accept what a source says without checking it out, especially if the source has a vested financial interest in the debate.
