I was going to say early onset Alzheimer’s to explain that one leaky brain.
That wasn’t tongue in cheek. Please get yourself checked out.
speaking of Alzheimers, was there anyone at the republican convention yesterday under 75? It’s easy to vote for a candidate you won’t have to suffer since you’ll be either dead of old age or in a nursing home on morphine:D
“was there anyone at the republican convention yesterday under 75”
Well McCain is 72 so…yeah.
Nice to know the “tolerant” left can’t stop making fun of a person’s age. I believe that’s called ageism.
ok, under 70 and in nursing home by the january inauguration, are you happy?
Well since you proved my point about being ageist…yes, yes I am happy.
Bob:
Read the facts straight; the first intolerant one being an ageist here was your pal StewPEZ: “I was going to say early onset Alzheimer’s to explain that one leaky brain.”
I know that Only warmongers and Nutbags here have the divine right to put names in anybody else, but it was worth a try…
Ok, I was trying to do a bit of humor and gone a bit too far, sorry.
If not full of physically old people, the GOP convention is full of people with old ideas… and proud of it.
“Drill, Baby, Drill…” And then what? We need to get ready when these oil well get empty as well.
They talk about good ol’ Ronald Reagan all the time. He was a good politician and had good ideas, but that was thirty years ago.
It is naive to think that “what it good for GM is good for America” or that the invisible magic hand of the market will fix everything. Big corporations are not there to help the americans, they are there to make money weather it’s in america or in India for its shareholders, period.
Back then, big tax cuts for corporations were ok for the economy overall. The interests of the nation and of the corporations went hand in hand because these companies expanded within the united states.
Now, in 2008 (2009 by the time the government takes the oath of office) the economy is globalized. Major corporations are still american but most of their activities are in India or China. Give them a big tax cut, they’ll take it take their butts to China (the old communist boogieman) and open a factory there. They suck money out of america like a vampire sucks out blood…and give it to our enemies.
CF: No need to apologize. Too many seniors have forgotten the past and their trip getting to where they are. Their concern is mostly with maintaining status quoe with a flexiable memory to justify the attitude. Did you ever hear of the op-ed piece or the song made from it “wear sun screen? PS Ask our neo-cons why GM is posting massive losses in the US but is the hottest seller in the PROC. An yes I’m a senior and have my moments now and again.

Hello?????
Geraldine Ferraro.
Palin is not a “first.” Where the heck have you BEEN?
“Read the facts straight; the first intolerant one being an ageist here was your pal StewPEZ: ‘I was going to say early onset Alzheimer’s to explain that one leaky brain.’”
Don’t lump what anyone (who may or may not agree with me) says in with my comments, I don’t do that for any of you. Also, I was being sarcastic about calling CF ageist. I was trying to point out how easy it is to claim someone is prejudice just because of one little sentence.
““Drill, Baby, Drill…” And then what? We need to get ready when these oil well get empty as well.”
I would of agreed with this statement if it had not be for the REPUBLICAN authored “American Energy Act” which outlines their “All of the above” approach to our energy problem. “All of the above” means to drill for more domestic oil WHILE developing and making it easier to produce alternative fuels. Don’t believe me? Read about it here:

Surely, everyone can agree on this take, whether you are Republican or Democrat or an Independent.
And CF think about this in regard to your problem with corporate tax breaks. Most people work for a company or corporation so if you tax those companies excessively they have to take it out on their employees to make up for their losses. Lower wages, fewer hires, maybe even layoffs would result in punishing companies just for being sucessful. Not too mention higher prices of the goods that company makes or the services they provide.
I’ll write what I’m about to say here first and repeat it in a couple other comics to get my message across:
I don’t believe that fighting and calling each other names is going to make any side open up their minds to a new view point. This may be a little too serious for a comics website but I would like for all posters, on both sides, to be a little more mature and have some intelligent discussion about these issues. Being nasty to each other accomplishes nothing. What do you say guys and girls?

Whenever the republicans say “we need to distance ourselves from big oil” is like Ronald Mc Donald saying that he needs to cut fat. Believe in aliens before you believe that.

In short, they have us by the b@lls and the republicans, nowhere near the proud bald eagle, crawl before them like an earthworm. (like they crawl bfore an obscurantist government straight out of the stone age cough Saudi Arabia cough for its lifeblood) It’s easy to look “brave” before the third world, not so easy to stand firm to your bullies.
And tax cuts should go to all american businesses that don’t yet have the power to outsource.
Bob: I totally agree on your last post. In fact, it is consistent with a similar post made by Herbabee days ago.
It is hard to properly reflect sarcasm and irony in a written statement, and sometimes the result is a sort of an insult, that’s why something intended to be funny, is considered as blasphemy by someone else.
I believe that we are all excited around here because all our stakes are going to be played very soon, and we all want the very best for us, for our country and the generations to come…
Let’s have some Fun, guys and girls!!!
Exactly my point Alexus! Just because we may disagree doesn’t mean for a second that any of us are enemies. We are all Americans and we have to smooth the rough edges of our disagreements on the strength of compromise and understanding.
“Whenever the republicans say “we need to distance ourselves from big oil” is like Ronald Mc Donald saying that he needs to cut fat. Believe in aliens before you believe that.”
I would think actually proposing a bill to the House (which is more than the Democrats did) pretty much shows they stand by their words. Honestly, what else could they do to sway you on that?
“And tax cuts should go to all american businesses that don’t yet have the power to outsource.”
The companies wouldn’t of left America if the government wasn’t overtaxing them in the first place.
they leave (with their taxcuts,”thank you, suckers!”)because of cheap labor abroad and if they’re not ready to work for peanuts, a hated government does all the dirty strike repression job for them.
And was there real actions done with the republican oil bill (except using it for an excuse).

America is one of the only countries that actually taxes an American company for their business in the U.S. AND in other countries. The EU, Japan, and Russia do not do this giving them an extraordinary advantage. So while it may seem that these companies are abandoning America the government still gets their cut.
“And was there real actions done with the republican oil bill (except using it for an excuse).”
No there wasn’t, and that’s because Pelosi refused to hear any bills about energy and allowed the Senate to go on vacation. This is what prompted the Republican protest earlier this summer.
And this is not just about taxing companies but rich people. You know, George’ buddies, they can give a little more.
“And this is not just about taxing companies but rich people. You know, George’ buddies, they can give a little more.”
The vast majority of the “rich” are the owners of the companies being taxed so if you take more of their money they are going to get it back from us. The top 1% also already carries about 36.9% of the tax burden, why should they carry more?
“And this is not just about taxing companies but rich people. You ...more

Hey, I am an OLD WHITE GUY.
Obama is a young black guy.
Why am I voting and supporting Obama ?
Whew, then I realized he is only HALF BLACK so it is OK. I almost had to change my vote, like McCaint thinks Hillary supporters are so stupid that they would vote for what Palink stands for, BECAUSE SHE IS A WOMAN.
Stewzie, this is tongue in cheek, just so YOU would know.
