Joe’s become more irrelevant than even Al Gore. I guess that’s why he was the Vice Presidential nominee. (I should say Vice President-elect since they actually won that election).

Unfortunately, Rac–and thanks to Lew–Lieberman’s head can be up his own butt & up each of ours simultaneously. Oh, well, the Democrats in the House & Senate will pass some kind of health-care reform bill soon, and it will be a small step of progress. Why are we so far behind the rest of the industrialized world? We can thank the regressive Republicans & their mainstream media & friends in Big Business for how far behind we are.

American medical care is the best in the world if you’re wealthy, lucky enough to have good insurance, or a veteran or politician. For the 85% of us who don’t fall into one of those groups, then there are about two dozen countries with better medical care than found here. Indeed, when people complain about the medical care in those countries, the challenge is consistently: “You wouldn’t want American health-care, would you?” And no complainer wants that.
