Tip: “These pumps come with the most beautiful matching shin guards. Ok, as long as you promise not to scratch them.”

If I may just take a moment to confirm Oz references (even though it’s quite late): Tip was the name of Ozma, queen of Oz but magically transformed into a boy before her true identity was made known, and she was returned to her female form. Moustachio is analogous to Tik Tok the mechanical man. Even look alike. Nick the man tuened into metal airplane relates to the Tin Woodman whose real name was Nick Chopper. Unity, sewn together from body parts reminds me of the Patchwork Girl. Gavot is a swarm of bees not unlike the swarm in the original book. Did I miss anything?

I must say I never noticed that. Sweetheart seems to be left out though. Not the Cowardly Lion obviously. I don’t know enough about the Oz stories to pick a character that matches her.

Toto of course. At one point he or she starts talking and tells Dorthy he always could but didn’t feel the need to till then. Well done on your part.

There was a lion in the earliest Skin Horse strips. Or at least the first ones I remember reading.
