Somewhere in this great nation is a top-secret government agency in charge of providing aid to America's nonhuman citizenry. Perpetually overworked and underpaid, these dedicated civil servants soldier on with a dedication exceeded only by their respective passions for heavy rifles, stylish footwear, and good sturdy squeaky toys. They're not our country's best nor our country's brightest, but to all the lost and lonely creations of misguided science wandering the wild places of this country, they are a beacon of minimum-wage hope. This is their story.

It’s touching that Nick would be so selfless, but, as touching goes, I’m rooting for Sergio and Tip.

Nick: “See now, I was willing to stand aside and let you get all smoochy-face with her, but now that I don’t have to make that sacrifice anymore, I don’t need to require your death as payment for it. But, yeah, you can still get killed from all this, if you feel you really have to.”

Garrity sure likes this theme a lot.
.
What’s funny is that she’s apparently never lived among them. Most of what one sees in the news is purely propaganda. It’s like the portrayal in 9CWL: completely unlike them.
.
What always troubled me most was the level of violence among them. The murder and mayhem surrounding Prop 8 was one of the few times that the rest of the nation actually got to see the typical violence of thought. It’s not a pretty lifestyle.

[CHORUS:]
I’m bi, pal!
I like dating men!
Nick says, “Come again?”
Mendoza goes, “I’m bi-i!”
Says Nick, “That’s slick; don’t di-ie!”
Oh, when the zombies
Come marching in,
I will protect you
Through thick and thin!
I need no kisses,
Although, I say,
I’d like Tip’s digits …
(More than one way!)
[repeat CHORUS]

Word for word, that is what I was going to type before I refreshed the page and saw your comment.

Who’s this “them” you keep talking about? The characters aren’t supposed to represent all gays, much less the rotten kind.

Nab…
I’ve always seen gays as being like Christians, there are decent ones and ones who are real jerks. The problem is that most of the Christians who get into politics are the bad kind.

Keep it on topic, folks.

What topic exactly? Several themes in this comic are present. Speaking on any or all of them is okay.

Nice to see a bisexual in there. Don’t listen to highfalutin @Nabuquduriuzhur he’s a right wing stick in the mud. Pay him no mind.

Oooo… the scary, scary ‘them’… somebody gets all their data from a non-biased, always truthful iv drip.

I have no problem with posters making comments about themes as they are expressed within the confines of the comic. However, without singling out any one topic or comment, I would just like to note that the comment thread is beginning to inch over into commenters expressing opinions about other commenters. I love all you guys, but not one of you, individually, is the topic. I guess that’s what I’m trying to say.

That I heartily agree with. It gets too easy to do so sometimes.
