    They need a bigger hammer!
2014 will be a landslide GOP victory as people reject the Dems last 5 years of horrible rule.

The inscription on Pete’s banjo was: This machine surrounds hate and forces it to surrender.
    Just saying.

Pete Seeger wrote and sang songs that opposed your very views.
No, Americans won’t reject Democratic rule – they’ll reject the horrid way that the GOP has shut down the government for the last 4 years. It borders on treasonous.
The GOP is SO out of touch with America, I predict that it will go the way of the Whig Party (its predecessor, which also went by the wayside because they were so out-of-touch) by 2020.

The GOP caters to the 3 R’s (the rich, the racists and the rednecks), and I don’t mean education, which it cuts to the bone to keep its base in line.
I just can’t understand how anyone who makes less than a million dollars a year can even support them, because otherwise, they are voting against their own interests.
Let’s take a look at a huge chunk of their base:
Farmers: The GOP opposes farm programs.
Seniors: The GOP opposes Social Security and Medicare, which are vital lifelines for seniors.
The religious: The GOP directly opposes Jesus’ teachings, which taught to love your fellow (hu)man, help the poor and heal the sick. Jesus said that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven, and He threw the moneychangers out of the temple. The GOP supports today’s rich and the “moneychangers.” He also preached peace, while the GOP are strictly war hawks.
It has become the party of the selfish, those full of hatred, and the bully.

I say that the GOP has sold its soul to the devil for vast sums of money.

The loony left Rasmussen says that, if the election were today, the Democrats would get more votes, so they’d keep the Senate and, unless the patriotic gerrymander eats enough of those Democratic votes, also win the House. Of course, Rasmussen is biased, just like the poll on November 6, 2012 was, and the poll on November 4, 2014 will be.

However, the IEM says there’s a 7% chance the Republicans will lose the House, a 60% chance the Democrats will lose the Senate, and a 44% chance of a Republican Congress.

No need for the hammer on Obamacare it is a failure. The unemployment is about the government paying out more money that it does not have. And it is Obama who has doubled the welfare voting roles.

People vote for words, not deeds. Doesn’t seem to matter if they do the exact opposite of what they say they hold dear. All the Republicans have to do is to say: “Values”, “Small Government”, and “Guns”. Good enough for the masses.

Lewis Black said it best: “Anyone who can convince people who don’t have a pot to piss in that rich people need a tax cut is a true leader.”

So you don’t like investing in our unemployed who cannot find jobs? The longer they look the harder it is to get a job. No Republicans are helping them in any way. In fact they are moving to hurt millions of people. Who has hardened their hearts and heads?

    It will snow tomorrow.
    It will snow tomorrow.
    It will snow tomorrow.

Start saying this in June and eventually you will be correct.
    “Landslide GOP victory”?
A couple of poster’s have been saying this for years.
Somehow it is not the same as a natural event.
Evidence points to it not happening before the republican party changes from what it now is.
No matter how strident the flat earthers get..

All his books are on my list. I have one I am reading “American Theocracy.” He is a Republican I wish was in office in the Congress.
